With a catalogue of red-hot releases under his belt across a number of major imprints including Saved and Anjunadeep, ‘Mr B’ is a record clearly produced with the dancefloor in mind. As a swift beat glides over a devilishly deep bassline, a spoken-word vocal courtesy of an unrevealed US pioneer adds a hefty dose of house authenticity for this slick label debut. As we roll into the Winter months, the heatwaves and long summer evenings are starting to fade into distant memory. Meanwhile, Dutch DJ & production powerhouse GUZ has teamed up with Italian production duo Havoc & Lawn to drop their brand-new collab ‘Come Back’ exclusively on Toolroom. 

A first time collaboration for the budding artists, and a label debut for Havoc & Lawn means only one thing, a cut of the freshest new House music for your listening pleasure.

First up it’s GUZ himself, being a label veteran having made his own debut back in 2017 on our Ibiza album. An artist who has made waves in the scene for a minute now, has recently returned to Toolroom remixing Mark Knight’s ‘You Saw Me’ featuring Damon Trueitt, it’s safe to say that GUZ is on fire at the moment!

Up next is Havoc & Lawn, the Italian duo who have made a name for themselves as ‘musical extraordinaries in the making’ releasing banging House & Tech House records on Ultra, Simma Black, Nervous Records and DFTD to name a few.As well as previously releasing on GUZ’s own, Sink Or Swim label, Havoc & Lawn make their
label debut, dropping dance floor weapon ‘Come Back’.

Together, the artists have pushed their production skills to the max on ‘Come Back’, mixing a stomping House beat with an eclectic chopped up vocal loop, layered with lush piano chords elevating this release to a whole new level. ‘Come Back’ is one way to make a debut that’s for sure, and the trio do it flawlessly.

Ahead of the release of his album entitled ‘+’, Swiss multi-instrumentalist Jimi Jules teases us with the first, mesmerizing and most sought-after single of the last month, entitled ‘My City’s On Fire’ executively produced by label boss Dixon. The artwork concept is developed and designed by iconic graphic artist Trevor Jackson, whose multi-disciplinary works formed the graphical identities of design, music, fashion and art by the likes of Soulwax, Massive Attack and HFD / Comme des Garcons.

A perfect match for ‘My City’s On Fire’ with its bold, razor-sharp synth lead and low-slung indie/disco live drumming. Jules touches on heritage dance genres while fusing in futuristic sounds and surreal lyricism throughout, amalgamating to a truly unique and danceable experience that embodies his clear abilities as a musician, vocalist, and producer all in one.
