Written during a lockdown in Melbourne 2020 after rewatching Stuck in Love. Love it. Go back to it every few years. Recommend it.

I wrote this in early 2025. It’s about stepping away from the noise of expectations and listening to your inner voice. Inspired by an experience I had camping. Before I went camping, I noticed myself getting excited for the star gazing I was about to do because the stars always shine brighter away from the city lights. I thought maybe, people, away from the expectations of what we 'should' be, away from the 'noise', also shine brighter. I loved the thought that we should be seeking out people who let themselves shine in their own way and encourage us to shine too.

written during a period of hope after feeling hopeless.
I began noticing a small sense of freedom returning to life, freedom that I had once had but did not notice, like going for a walk with a hot drink, airpods in and not feeling a pit of anxiety in my stomach about when the next bad thing was going to hit but rather being able to listen to the music in my ears, enjoy the taste of my drink, people watch and daydream about GOOD things to come. It was wild, to be so acutely aware of a capacity returning to me where I got to imagine goodness in my future. May Goodness find us...in good time <3
