1) Tell us a bit about yourself and your record collection.

I'm a pretty nice guy. Canadian. Lots of nervous energy. I live in Berlin but I love the mountains. I'm 39 and have been collecting records since about 1987. Most of my records are in Canada still. Not sure what I'm going to do about that! I've been making my living as a professional DJ for a number of years now. I also run a rather successful mostly 7" record label Red Motorbike, inspired by the do-it-yourself renegade-record-hustling Jamaican film Rockers. We regularly sell out of our small run pressings which is a success in my eyes. Number 15 in the series is about to drop featuring myself and long time collaborator Roberto from Toronto. 

 2) 45/7 is all about celebrating the 7". Can you tell us a bit about what you love about the format.

I love that they are portable. I love that the sound doesn't have to be great. I love that you can just POP them on the turntable over the cone adaptors. I love that most times there's an Instrumental, a Part 2 or a Version on the other side.
It's the original single! Or was it 78s technically? Music that kids could afford to buy.  You can bring them to your friend's house from as far back as the '50s (maybe earlier?) in a little carrying case and have a party!
Mostly I love 7"s because of Reggae music. Just realized I didn't put much Reggae on the mix. I should make a Reggae mix.

  3) One hour of vinyl goodness... can you talk us through your selection for your 45/7 mix?

Totally random. Like my moods lately here in this wacky city.  4) Where can people catch you / listen to your music? 

All over! I want to make it last forever!
