7 months ago we set out to begin work on a project, but were unable to continue due to individual circumstances. In our original recording
the lyrics were completed quickly while the vocal mix came together in just a few days.
With all that is happening in the world today, particularly with governments and sensationalized media, it shouldn't surprise that this song is about the relationship between government and the people it "serves".
Here is my rendition of Separate and Unwind. I hope you enjoy!

It's taken me a while to finish this song - it's  about struggling on... up the mountain and, o.... there’s another mountain – where did that come from?

It has taken me a while to mix this song up – some new challenges here...  I’ve called it a ‘rock’ song, really just because I can... 

A while ago, someone made a comment about a song we’d posted being like ‘street-corner music', a description which got lodged in my brain.  This song seemed to lend itself very well to that concept and we visualized The Norman Chop Trio setting up on said corner to entertain the passers-by.  The original recording was done very quickly – probably first-take if memory serves – and we continued this principle when adding the harmonica, bass and percussion parts, all of which were strictly first-take, in order to give the track the ‘live’ feel we wanted it to have.

It has taken me quite some time to capture this song… I wrote it a few years ago and have been trying to capture the sense of it within a recording for ages… Essentially it is piano and voices with a smoothing of cello and a slither of synths…  The picture is an excerpt from van Gogh's 'Wheatfield with Crows'.

I finally bought myself a decent condenser microphone (Art M Two) to record acoustic guitar and the first thing i came up with sounded a bit like "By this river" by Brian Eno from the album "Before and after science". So i thought i might as well try and do my own instrumental version of it. I tried singing it as well but it goes too deep for my voice
