“A brash, exciting and assertive rock band” A Way With Words from Swindon, Wiltshire hit the ground running and have continued to move at the same speed ever since!

After playing their first gig, a headline gig, at a charity event in the town, and numerous gigs and shows across the West, A Way With Words self-produced their first Extended Play (EP) “Now Or Never” a six track EP which was released in 2014. 

A Way With Words played at Wychwood Festival 10th Anniversary 2014, opening the main stage for The Boomtown Rats, Newton Faulkner, The Stranglers and The Levellers and have since had many headline shows and supporting roles.

Mid 2014 the band recruited Doug Smith who added a new lead Guitar & Vocals to the band. This has allowed the band to write and play more freely and with James and Matt both working on adding a further dimension to the melodies, their sound has been noted to have gotten bigger and better ever since.

The boys take an influence from a wide variety of rock music to create their own unique and exciting sound, which can blow you away, smashing all of your senses but also during a slower song can calm you down and help you to forget your worries. 

Since the arrival of Doug the boys have planned a second EP to be released and are yet to announce a date or details, however have hinted at it being in the early part of 2015. With new songs being played at their gigs to tease friends and family who have followed them and supported them so far throughout their work.
