Ein weiteres Stück aus der Rotationsreihe. Dieses mal etwas ungewöhnlich: eine
freie Synthwahl von einem der Computer Music Magazin beiliegenden CD/DVD.
Meine Wahl ist auf den ZebraCM gefallen, hauptsächlich da ich noch nie in der
Vergangenhet mit Formant-Filtern gearbeitet habe.

Der Synth ist klasse: wenig CPU-Last, sehr gute Soundengine :)
Wie immer: viel Spass beim reinhören, Kommentare immer gerne willkommen und
ein happy Halloween:)

Another piece of the rotation number. This time something unusual: a free synth choice
from one of the Computer Music Magazin attached CD / DVD. 
My choice fell on the ZebraCM, mainly because I've never worked in the past with 
formant filters.

The synth is great: low CPU load, very good sound engine :)

I Love You (Yello)

This version is my own "variation" improvised, including the original song of the album and concert spectacular version of Jean Michel Jarre (I attended) in the Plaza del Obradoiro, Santiago de Compostela, on the occasion of Xacobeo 2010, held July 31.

FL Studio with Gladiator, Arp2600V, 2x SuperWave Pro, Spook Keys, 2x z3ta+, Miroslav Philharmonik (8x voices) ACE U-he, Sytrus, Moog Modular V, 4x FX samples and Roland GAIA SH-01 synthesizer.

Oxygene Variation III (LIVE version)

My very first entry into the KVR OSC challenge using the PG-8X as a sound source. Tried to get a typical 80's feeling in this track. Just loved those mixtape cassettes...

Edit: Cleaned and beefed up the mix, added som missing elements, improved transitions and tweaked it some more ;)

20 instances of PG-8X was used, along with some reverb and delay.
Built-in Cubase EQ, Compressor and Limiter was used.
Mixed in Cubase 5,  with 48k/24 bit as audio mixdown settings.

Since my old JX-8P died on me, I use and love the PG-8X!

Simon Matele - Back in the 80's (PG-8X KVR OSC #75)

This is our first OSC. It was quite fun to explore and design sounds with this 80' revival synth. 
The title can't be more cliché. We were aiming for something in the line of Vector Hold and Mitch Murder (in a modern retro synthwave something feel).

2 for kick (one of them is used just once for a fill),
3 for main snare (1 for noise, 1 for attack, 1 for low end),
1 for softer snare
1 for clap
3 for toms (indentical but panned differently because I can't use note panning),
1 for open hat,
1 for closed hat,
2 for ride/tambourine (one for noise, other one for harmonics),
1 for crash,
4 for different FX (whitenoise and various synth stabs and hits),
2 for bass (1 for mono bottom, 1 for upper stereo harmonics),
2 for different pad sounds,
6 for synths,
3 for layered supersaw lead.

Other effects:
1x Effector - multieffect (just for hi-pass filter automation)
2x Love Philter - filterbank/trance gate (lowpass filter and "sidechain"/pumping automation)

Syntax Project - Challenger (OSC 75; PG-8X)

I've had my Waldorf Q front and center for a long time, without actually digging in to it properly. Now I've done just that :)

Everything in this track is sequenced in one take from a Yellow Q (16 voice), with NO audio overdubs ;) No external effects.
Only some Limiter on the mixdown.
The 'vocals' is a german tutorial for the Largo i found on YT, mangled through the Q's filters in realtime...
