Geraldine Doogue, ABC Radio National, interviewed Simon McCann about Peters Care Rural. Simon founded Peters Care Rural in 2006, in response to farmers' terrible plight in dealing with banks and lending institutions, that were placing farmers into insolvency, seizing farms and leaving the farmers destitute. Simon is a senior investment banker, corporate advisor and rural financial counsellor, who also grew up in a rural setting and understands farming extremely well; he has actively mediated outcomes between banks and farmers since, and through his volunteer work, has carved change into the fabric of the Australian rural lending environment.

Simon has been acclaimed for his work providing pro bono services to farmers, rural business and the under-privileged.
