Its almost weekend and we are adding another artist and podcast to the Kellercast series. 🔊🎶🎶🎶🇩🇪🇩🇰

We are at episode 020, a small milestone for the podcast series, and this time we are joined by @mexCalito….

mexCalito is a young German producer. His sound is characterized by frisky and rolling basslines with an experimental hypnotic groove. His unique music style is a crossover between Techno, Zenon, Minimal and some kind of haunting psychedelic groove. 
Driving psycho synth tones with bubbling, and fizzy sounds like from another  world, integrating a freakish and impelling drive that guarantees a physical experience along the journey.

He has been keeping busy and he has tracks being released by some of the worlds best underground techno labels. Among a few mentioned is;  Subios - (@Subios), AlpaKa MuziK - ( @alpakamuzik), Evil Flow - (@evilflowrec)  and Digital Diamonds - (@digital-diamonds-netlabel) plus even more.

After fluffing around, getting caught up in my own indecisiveness on what sort of mix to make and second guessing myself continuously in the pursuit of some level of perfection, I decided to cut the crap and just get a bunch of tunes I liked and put them into a mix with my favourite weekend of the year in mind (RSF). 

These are tunes that have inspired me in some way or stuck in my mind whilst i've been living in a remote indigenous community in NT, as far away from clubs, events and festivals that i've ever been. There are some older tunes that hold sentimental value and some brand spankin' new tunes, covering the melodic side of techno with a bunch of the usual suspects plus a few new faces. 

Going against the grain of slower BPMs, this mix has pretty melodies with a decent kick and hints of rave to suit dusty dancefloor boogying, desk rave outbursts, big fish little fish cardboard box driving sessions, kitchen twerking, gym workout shimmying and wherever else you wanna bust a move.

Simon Murphy - Have No Fear - Sept '13

After the amazing critical acclaim for his debut album "Drone Logic", Daniel Avery lines up a select series of remix 12"s on Phantasy from some of his favourite artists. Danny Daze takes "Naive Response" deeper into the realms of smart, late night techno with a remix that has been huge for Avery and label boss Erol Alkan all summer. On the flip, London's Perc turns Reception into an industrial techno behemoth, tailor made for the darkest of hours in Berghain.

We are very proud to get our tenth podcast from a very special guest from Norway. Faia is an Oslo-based DJ, producer and club promoter who has played in all major parties in Norway and is also regularly booked to techno and house clubs all around Europe. 

In 2018 Faia got into production, and started a collaboration with Duppeditt. They own the label Romklang Records together and are now releasing their music, as well as being signed with Pointzer0 Rec and Music4Aliens. She’s a label DJ for Small Records and in charge of their mix series SmallCast.

Faia loves being behind the decks, and that also reflects the drive, energy and playfulness in her choice of music which is mostly deep, dark, groovy, techy and hard minimal, techno and house. This masterfully compiled mix of dark and dirty grooves is a great showcase of her talent and modern minimal and psychedelic tech sound.
