About Ezio: 

Having grown up in Sao Paulo, but currently based in Berlin, Ezio Aguiar would rather refer to himself as a passionate dancer than as a DJ. When listening to his sets, regardless of tempo or genre, one notices a certain mysticism mixed with different organic, melodic and progressive elements. The confident synergy with which he combines rhythm and harmony, charm and depth, dreaminess and magnificence is remarkable and unparalleled. His musical tales captivate and carry his listeners through a warm and ascending journey into their wilderness, lifting their souls with majestic beauty, yet grounding their bodies with prominent and pulsating bass.

 It was my first Fusion, definitely not the last. One of the most inclusive, affordable, sustainable and badass events I had a chance to see. The level of creativity, the quality of sound systems, the absence of authority or security, yet the feeling of safety and community. An impressive and powerful sonic city that shows us how the world can be when we work for a greater purpose, together, with strong values. 

This set represents a lot for me, after quite an heart opening trip in Beirut, Lebanon right before Fusion, getting closer to the war opened my eyes to the energies, challenges and times we are living in, while being fuelled and inspired by the beautiful resilience of people. ❤️

The dancefloor as a revolution. Music as a way to heal. The community as a foundation to rebuild the world from the heart space. 🌍   Gratitude to the Sonnendeck crew for the invitation, to everyone who came to dance for the morning session, and big love to old and new friends who made this journey memorable.

I create musical journeys with soul, and want them be heard by ears that resonate, hearts that feel and bodies that sense and move naturally and unselfconsciously. 
I feel fulfilled and joyous knowing people are grooving on the dance floor or enjoying the sonic experience on their couches at home. 

In my work as a psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher in the default world, creating and performing musical journeys has become like guiding a mindfulness practice: high frequency sounds, embodied movement, heart opening, inviting a deeper, purer,  connection to oneself and to others. 

 I love sounds rich in melodic nuance whether through instrumentals or voice, bass frequencies that create resonance deep within the body and have an organic, soulful quality. Whether mid, low or high energy, you will always hear and feel these qualities in my sets. 

Musicophilia (an enhanced appreciation of music) is actual a nervous system process, where we can bring immediate, non-verbal healing through dancing to sonic landscapes that engage multiple brain regions as will as the inner body. So this love that I experience as a DJ is a rich medium for healing through the universal pleasure that comes from immersion in sound.
