Kindred Music SA is a Cape Town and Johannesburg based artist who grew up in South Africa.

He is an artist who enjoys designing and creating interesting atmospheric and ambient melodies and grooves inspired by Downtempo, Techno and House.

He released his debut album "Exposed" in March of 2021 on his label 'Pocket Food Audio' and has since featured on platforms such as DeepStitched, Hello Strange and SPACE VIEW X and KAOS Soweto to name a few.

Kindred Music SA started playing acoustic instruments at an early age, inspired by rock, soul, reggae and jazz from the era of the early 60's, up to the late 90's. He then later on developed a passion for the endless possibilities electronic music had to offer, and thus Kindred Music SA evolved into an electronic music composer, producer, performer and DJ, with an enormous talent in the field.

Maximilian, originally from Luzern, is a young, kind, enthusiastic musician and fashion designer, a true artist by heart. His musical style is most accuratly described as diverse – going from downtempo and house to more acid and breaky tunes. Today he is gifting us with another unique creation of his: an uplifting dance mix; generating the feeling of being right on a wild and sweaty dancefloor.

Behind LOKD Doors 31 – mohn

I love things that are low effort and high reward - especially something that comes easy while flexing a muscle as a DJ and artist. 

Composing studio mixes comes super naturally to me, I have so much fun making them, and the reaction on SoundCloud to this particular genre for me is always overwhelmingly positive.

This is something I’ve been holding out on, making deep house studio mixtapes, since the fall of 2022 (all my mixes from 2023 were on CDJs). I paused making these out of concern for spreading myself too thin while diving into music production last year.   

The last few weeks I’ve been digging into my process as a producer and working on my signature sound - by doing so I’ve been able to hone on the vibe and sound that is my niche as an artist to exploit. 

Introducing - “Sunday Morning Groove” a cozy, vibey mix series to showcase some of my favorite music while giving me a platform to show off new incoming unreleased music- imagine a rainy Sunday morning at home, smooth jazzy, sexy, warm tones playing off your record player, while raindrops patter over a big beautiful window. perfect for daydreaming, cleaning, relaxing while taking that first sip of coffee or tea.

I’ve wanted to make a personal mix series for a few years now and I’m very happy I waited for the name to come to me naturally, enjoy!
