Melbourne based producer GREETINGS heads up Boots & Legs – an Italo focused label whose aesthetics float somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow – releasing records from Furor Exótica, Kayroy and more, and now he readies his Running Out Of Steam debut with four house and electro-fused dreamscapes.

Staying true to the label aesthetic of blending killer club grooves with introspective atmospherics, ‘ALONE’ is a cut of trance-licked house, M1 chords providing a disco-ball euphoria across the minimal, yet vibrant, soundscape. ‘Desires’ sees GREETINGS blend his admiration for Italo into a heavenly, 80s pop-ballroom experience designed for when the lights go on.

The B-side brings out the producer's electro influence; ‘That Was A Weird Summer’ is as Italo as it is otherworldly – a sound similar to what might be heard if aliens discovered disco – before ‘Don’t Die Wondering’ closes the curtain with a cut of stirring and transcendental analog-electro that's as rough as it is smooth.

Went through the archives and decided to upload this set I played at Pistil in Seoul, South Korea as part of my Asian tour I did in July 2019. Playing the show with my now good friends Jesse You(Treehouse / Wavecord Seoul, Jaezae(Tucan Discos)and Daniel Schine Lee was an eye-opening experience into how the Korean people dance, move and connect on the dancefloor. Pistil was one of the highlights in between hitting up spots like Seoul Community Radio, Salon 10, Fauve Radio and Hong Kong Community Radio in Hong Kong. Much love to the friends I made over there, I will be back again soon.

Returning from his Asian tour last year, GREETINGS has found influence in the cities of the east. Where city pop blends with house jams in the late night and Italo disco peaks a party. The Melbourne based producer embraces the past and takes on the future when it comes to creating his own music. As for DJing, he likes to pick from his large selection of retro and forgotten treasures. 

Running his own Imprint Boots & Legs (strictly vinyl releases), he put together a selection of Italo flavours for Bordello A Parigi.
