In-demand French talent Matt Fax returns on Colorize with an emphatic new EP project, presenting his new side concept Matters, here's 'Epoch / Moves / Oblivion'.

Opening with recent single 'Epoch', Matt's intriguing new project takes on an immediately dark form. Filled with cavernous bass, moody chords & drilling FX, Matters' first display kicks off in a distinctly underground & dark format.

Next up 'Moves' diverts into more melodic territory whilst retaining an intensely atmospheric aura. Invigoratingly suspenseful & brilliantly constructed, 'Moves' delivers that infectious Matt Fax sound in a mesmerising new direction.

Closing with 'Oblivion', the Matters debut comes full circle with an airy production that retains the club-ready focus whilst drawing on Matt Fax's expansive melodic prowess to turn out a driving monster.

Emerging in a more experimental direction, Matters delivers the hallmarks of Matt Fax's ferociously consistent sound whilst daring to edge further into club territory. Definitely a project we're excited to hear more of from the young Frenchman!

Simon Doty’s origins from Canada’s Western wilderness to a college basketball shooting guard may seem like an unlikely path for the emergence of a finely tuned electronic artist. A self-taught gear master ‘whiz kid’ with a profound understanding of musical composition and engineering, Simon has earned the ear of his peers and heroes alike.

After years mastering his sound and ascending the ranks of the underground circuit, Doty’s breakthrough debut LP ‘Universal Language’ on Anjunadeep was released in 2023 and supported by a world tour featuring over 60 dates.  Marquee performances at electronic music’s top venues including Brooklyn Mirage, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Gorge Amphitheatre, Savaya Bali and Fabric London highlight a year of  live milestones for the Canadian talent.  The momentum continues with the inception of his new imprint Recess, remixes on choice labels, and a follow up album in the works.  

Characterized by gritty analog synthesis, evocative melodies, and powerful driving grooves; his signature sound has earned Simon a bonafide spot among the industry’s most respected producers.  An increasingly coveted remixer and engineer, Doty continues to showcase an elite command of his craft and a steadfast pursuit of progress.  Industry icons Pete Tong and Danny Howard have taken notice, with regular first plays and support on their BBC Radio 1 programs.
