Now in his 22nd year behind the decks, Disciple13 has truly run the gamut of styles. Starting at the tender age of 18 with hip hop, Disciple13 eventually embraced electronic music as his true passion. Beginning with House and Trance, moving over to Drum n Bass to Progressive and finally to Breaks, Disciple13 has amassed an impressive collection of vinyl and mixes over the years. Until March 17, 2006, Disciple13 was known as DJ:lynx, and before that, Overdrive. He has recorded several mix cd's and is currently at work on an artist album as well as starting a record label.

I have been writing poetry, short stories and commentary since I was a child. Submitted by an English Teacher, my first published work was in Nevada Young Writers in 1990. I began performing spoken word in Downtown Las Vegas at the Enigma Cafe in the mid 90's, eventually branching out to Denver, CO through early 2003. I've since been a featured performer in many venues throughout the Las Vegas and Denver areas, as well as internet radio shows such as Jimmy's Potpourri on killradio.org. I have also been featured on several spoken word collaborations including, 2003's Soul Lovely Sessions 1-7, which garnered acclaim and also featured National Slam Poet Champion and TEDx speaker, Ken Arkind. Most recently I contributed to the Las Vegas Arts & Culture WordPress, Culture of the Senses with Interrelationship Commentary: So, there’s that. 
Set to print in fall 2014, I am currently compiling my 4th Zine in conjunction with 3 others from the series, Affirmations for the Aquarian Age; Daisies, Dialogue and Death: For the Fall and this spring's Birth of Many Contradictions And Other Sap.
