Sara-Danielle has a gift for balance. That is one of many things that hit us from her first intonations - the natural coexistence of restraint and surrender; the soft yet sensual sensitivity; the accurate, deep and beautiful intention… Both limpid and round at once, the artist’s unique voice leaves a long-lasting mark on people who cross paths with it. Flowing in a musical genre she describes as ginger soul - a happy marriage between synth-pop, soul and r&b - the Montreal-based singer-songwriter embraces and comforts through her tasteful compositions.

The now mythic trio, We Are Wolves, presents an honest and uncatchable sound; a bit like celestial lightning hitting a sacred mountaintop. Mainly inspired by visual arts, they paint a post-punk landscape, scattered with analog trees. Their primitive approach remains true to their animal of predilection: untamable. Disciples of rock and electronica - it’s at the junction of those two movements that We Are Wolves made their den. In 2005, that fusion materialized itself in the form of Non Stop Je te Plie en Deux on the American label Fat Possum. The press soon followed with articles in Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Spin and shows at famous international festivals like Eurockéennes (France), Dour Fest (Belgique), Virgin Festival (Toronto), Great Escape (UK) and LA Weekly Detour Festival (L.A.). We Are Wolves shared the stage with And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, The Gossip, Gorillaz and Bloc Party. They also played a total of 400 concerts in Europe, USA and Canada.
End of May 2007 brought the single “Fight and Kiss” on Dare to Care Records. They then successively released their second and third full-length albums Total Magique (2007) and Invisible Violence (2009) on the Montreal-based label. Both critically acclaimed albums received good press from the NY Times, CMJ Report and Spin Magazine. After more than 100 concerts across Canada and the United States since the release of their last album, We Are Wolves are ready for more.
Fall 2012, Alexander Ortiz and Vincent Lévesque made an official announcement: Pierre-Luc Bégin, from Montreal’s band Polipe, is their newest member, replacing longtime drummer Antonin Marquis. This new dynamic sets the shape of things to come: the formation is back in studio and ready to offer its devotees a fourth sacrifice on the altar of rock. Scheduled to be released in February 2013, La Mort Pop Club channels indescribable electric fields of post- punk adrenaline. Emerging from an endless trance, the wolves are back on the prowl.

Le désormais mythique trio We Are Wolves impose une musique honnête et libre comme la foudre céleste sur la montagne sacrée. Habités, ils peignent un paysage post-punk ponctué d’arbres analogues. Toujours, leur son primitif est fidèle à leur animal totem : indomptable. Non Stop Je te Plie en Deux, le premier effort du groupe, voit le jour en 2005 sous étiquette américaine culte Fat Possum. We Are Wolves prend alors d’assaut l’Amérique de Nord et l’Europe, récoltant des mentions élogieuses dans les plus importants médias, de Rolling Stone Magazine au très sélectif blogue musical Pitchfork. Dans la foulée, le trio prend part à des festivals d’envergure internationale, notamment les Eurockéennes (France), le Dour Fest (Belgique), le Virgin Festival (Toronto), le Great Escape (UK) et le LA Weekly Detour Festival (L.A.).
Puis, We Are Wolves se tourne vers l’étiquette Dare To Care pour sortir ses deux albums suivants, Total Magique (2007) et Invisible Violence (2009). Encore une fois acclamés par la critique d’ici et d’ailleurs, ces albums leur ont valu de nombreux prix et nominations en plus de consolider leur notoriété enviable sur la scène internationale.
À l’automne 2012, Alexander Ortiz et Vincent Lévesque nous annoncent officiellement la venue d’un nouveau batteur, Pierre-Luc Bégin, qu’on a pu entendre au sein du groupe Polipe. Le trio retourne en studio et récidive en février 2013 avec une quatrième offrande sur l’autel du rock, leur troisième opus à paraître sous étiquette Dare To Care. La Mort Pop Club balaie tout sur son passage, invoquant d’inclassables souffles électriques. Fort de sa nouvelle dynamique, le groupe exulte d’adrénaline teintée de post-punk. Émergeant des vapeurs éthérées d’une transe interminable, les loups sont de retour.
