Daily Beetle - Full Mix

Since a computer upgrade, i've not installed any music software for a while. I though i'll wait until Reason 6 comes out. And recently it did, so i've at least got reason again to play around with. I'm still not ready to restart my musical ambitions, but i'm getting there. I'm back to a somewhat daily practice routine on the keyboard (mostly with a rhodes sound, i'm a bit in a funk mood these days).

"Piano Theme" is a short, lively and rhythmical piece of music featuring a piano, strings and tuned percussion.

UniBird - Fell apart (acoustic version)

Hi,

For week 10 of my Film Scoring Class at Berlkeemusic.com, we were given a deleted scene from the film "Raising Helen" to score. Helen is a young socialite who has taken a job as a nanny. In the scene, several of Helen's friends from the city stop by for a visit, sporting gifts—including a designer handbag. In the middle of the visit, a cockroach scampers across the floor. As Helen screams, one of the children kills the cockroach—by smashing it with the Helen's new handbag. The scene is appropriate to score with playful comedy music.

The brass was Cinebrass Pro, percussion was EW, and everything else was VSL Special Collection 1 (Plus).

Here's what I came up with. (In the end, I included a bit of mock sorrow music for the death of "Mr. Roach" and the ruin of the handbag!
