The Blur Podcasts return to present the German DJ and producer - Simon Hinter. 

Having begun his career in the 90's producing hip-hop and deejaying and scratching, he has developed over the years into a prolific electronic music producer with releases on labels such as Freerange Records, Quintessentials, Morris Audio, Madhouse Records, Just Move Records, Hafendisko, Defected and many others.

One to not care about musical rules or principles, Simon Hinter is serious about his music being his alone, and allowing him to do whatever he wants, whenever. 

Citing influences such as hip-hop, soul, jazz, funk and rare soundtracks of the sixties and seventies, he identifies himself primarily as a producer, although DJing and his love for these soulful tunes from the past have been cemented in him since an early age.

For all these reasons and many more, we are very proud to present for the first time at the 40th edition of the Blur Podcasts - Simon Hinter - which is now live on our Youtube and Soundcloud pages.

Born and raised in Croatia, Mario aka Deneha moved to Switzerland with his parents when he was eight years old. In the early 90’s he discovered techno and its strong growing scene and ever since he is part of it. 

At the same time he was deep into underground hip hop, especially britcore. Mario was a sprayer and a breakdancer and you can say he was a normal 90’s kid.

At the age of 14 he discovered the world of bits and bytes and he has recognised the possibilities of computers in the world of music when a friend, a member of the legendary HH80-crew from Hamburg, has shown him his Cubase 1.0.-skills. Mario was fascinated, enlighted and from this moment on, he knew what he wants to do with is life. The problem: he had no access to a studio at this time and to produce techno with a soundcard, which is delivering the reverb over all 16 channels, was impossible.

Nowadays the computers are much, much better and Mario’s enthusiasm is even bigger: he owns a proper studio now and he produces his own electronic music. 
After years of practicing and experimenting, he releases on various labels like Viva Music, Blufin, Yellow Tail and many more. His tracks on Viva Music have been remixed by top shots like Jamie Jones, Steve Lawler himself and not to forget Peace Division.

He left the straight techno-track a few years ago and focuses on house music now. A wise decision: It seems as if Mario has found his musically home base here, where he can push the possibilities his talent offers to him to the maximum – his journey has just begun.

South London is a creative hub that’s been spitting out talent for years. @SebWildblood is a product of this bubble and may even be considered a pioneer, as his @ChurchUK party series and record label were established back in 2012. As someone who loves discovering new music, one record label was obviously not enough. Last year, Wildblood established the @Coastal-Haze imprint alongside good friend and fellow DJ, Hollick, with a focus on full length cassette tapes. Even more recently, Seb launched another project called @AllMyThoughts and it has seen its first three releases already.

Outside of his phenomenal knack for being able to find music from emerging as well as established artists, Seb Wildblood has made quite a name for himself on the production front as well. With a number of EPs and singles released over the last several years, he’s managed to craft a distinctive, moody, percussive sound that has caught the ears of many a listener and DJ alike. Last year’s 'Jazz Vol.1' EP on Church really catapulted him into the spotlight and he’s managed to go from strength to strength, recently releasing the spectacular ':~^' mini-LP on Omena.

We managed to catch up with the busy man of the moment and ask him some questions for the latest instalment of our MIXED BY/ series. Read the full interview in the link provided!

Bio: 
First experiences with Hip Hop, Michael Jackson, The Prodigy and lots of Dance music in the late 90s up to his first beats, scatching experiences and Freestyle sessions in the early 2000s, Simon is exploring more and more electronic music playgrounds. 

Through his work at a his good friend's record store and his first techno parties, he learned a lot about deejaying and other music genres. 

These years were to create a mastery in melodic electronica and shape a deeper perspective that has found home on several labels all around the globe. 

Simon’s music is an anomaly that arose not as a result of a scene but from his concentrated efforts as a fun-loving individual with like-minded buddies. 

Citing influences such as hip-hop, drum&bass, soul, jazz, soundtracks, videogames, Simon identifies himself as a Producer and a DJ

Simon is also releasing downbeat, instrumental HipHop beats under his nickname "Mr.Backside".
