TRANCE

It is one of the most anticipated Global DJ Broadcast episodes every year, and for many a highlight of the summer (no pressure guys!), where I dedicate myself to crafting a special 2 hour mix containing some of the most beautiful melodies and early morning moments that have graced the beaches and shores of Ibiza and beyond - the Sunrise Set.

After 3 months of preparation in ensuring that this would be a journey to remember and appreciated, I showcased it to the world on Global DJ Broadcast, and as requested by the fans, here it is for all of you to enjoy and stream at your leisure.

Markus Schulz - Global DJ Broadcast Sunrise Set 2013

It has only been a week but even now I'm still not sure how I did it. The challenge of performing a 12 hour open to close solo set at an outdoor festival, let alone one of the absolutely biggest of them all in Tomorrowland, was undoubtedly one o f the biggest I faced in my career.

For this month's Global DJ Broadcast World Tour we bring you highlights of the set, including some juicy IDs at the start, and approximately the last 45 minutes of the 12 hours where I got to dig out some classics I don't get much of an opportunity to play live that often.

My sincere thanks to everyone at ID&T and Tomorrowland for the opportunity to play at the festival, and most of all to all the fans who attended and supported me so well, especially those two stayed with me for the entire 12 hour duration.

Serbia based Zenit Galaxy Records' PURA starts to fold the space on 23rd May 2014 Friday 5pm CET on 23rd May 2014 Friday 5pm CET on the Trance channel. 

Pura was born in the summer of 1985, in the city of Sabac, in Serbia. Grew up by the river, listening to nature, connecting the sounds with Goa Trance at the age of 12, and then he takes the musical “path of no return”, where he still walks. He played music for the first time in 2003, and since then, through his journeys and communication with different cultures and people, he develops the skills of self-sustainability and alternative living. His experience grew in the fields of party and festival organizing, ecology, bio-constructions, musical production, graphic design, decorations, tourism. 

He is one of the creators of Save the Rave Tribe Org, and NGO “Zen.IT Creative Society”, which produced several eco-music festivals and various creative and educational workshops, and from 2013, a music label “Zenit Galaxy Records”. Pura is also a resident DJ in Basta Sava Centra Club, in Belgrade, Serbia. 

His musical influences are psychedelic trance, forest, ambient, experimental, and various jam sessions, although the music he plays in his DJ sets depend on the environment, people and the time of night (or day) when he plays. 

Currently he is producing music inspired by flora and fauna of his past journeys, and some of his tracks can be heard on the released and upcoming Zenit Galaxy Records compilations, and his album should come out in Spring of 2015. Some of the festivals he will take in summer 2014 : Lost Theory (Croatia), O.Z.O.R.A. (Hungary), Waha (Romania), Free Earth (Greece), Exit (Serbia).
