Dark Side of the Moon, a mix i made 6 years ago and one that is still one of my all time favourites. I have been wanting to make a part 2 for a long time and finally i did! A mix containing tracks which i have become to love over the past years. Some of these tracks i have played often during club gigs, some hardly ever., but a bit more to the darker side of techno. And for your convenience i have also included the tracklist.

The second episode of the microCastle podcast welcomes label artist Jamie Stevens. The Australian producer is coming off the release of his second original project for us entitled 'The Healing'. Released earlier this month, the four track EP featured a Guy J remix  and was a huge success reaching #7 and #2 in the Beatport overall and Electronica Top 100s respectively. The EP's lead cut, the deep and emotive 'My Tears Don't Help Me' has been regarded as some of Jamie's most unique work to date and also reached #1 in the KissFM Australia charts. For Jamie's podcast showcase we've chosen his live set from the Chameleon Recordings 7 year anniversary event from August 15th.  Jamie had the honour of closing the event out and it was certainly one to remember, as he effortlessly worked through varied styles of hypnotic techno and indistinct melodies,  to an eventual finale where at the urging of Chameleon Recordings boss Steve Ward, he drops his classic Infusion bootleg of Kate Bush 'Running Up That Hill', now over 13 years old and was a favourite of Sasha, Digweed, Nick Warren and a long list of other DJs for quite some time. For our 2nd podcast we've invited Burning Man veteran, and all-around great guy, The Scumfrog. He's infamous for his sunrise-sets on the Robot Heart bus, and the story of a girl falling 20 feet from the top of the Heart onto the decks mid-set, where he then kept playing after she was found to be uninjured has become legendary. This mix is quite the journey as it covers a wide-range of genres and moments in time. Enjoy the ride!

"The weekly MBTS (Most Below The Surface) events in NYC have been going strong since their beginning, last October 2015. I play from the start (10:30ish) until the end. I am the opener, the headliner, and the closer. Basically I play the way I played before DJ culture started, when DJing was thought of in 'shifts', rather than in 'sets'. I love this old fashioned approach because it enables me to play music that doesn't always fit in a headliner DJ set. More importantly, I try to keep MBTS genre-free, so if I want to suddenly drop from 122BPM into a 98BPM monster, then nobody will frown at me when I do so. At least not at MBTS. This mix is a collection of some of my favorite openers and closers. A 'chill' feel if you will (yes there is some unapologetic chill-out stuff in there), but many of these gems will get you on your feet despite their lower tempo. Enjoy the downtempo side of MBTS in this special exclusive!"

Deep & Sexy Podcast no.23 - Live recorded at Necker Island. Last week I had the honour to play at sir Richard Branson's own private Island, which is part of the British Virgin islands. After a show in Panama, a show on top of a mountain in Utah with a stunning sunset, these tracks came out of my recordbag on this beautiful island. The environment of a beach, a BIG hot tub, palm trees, cocktails and amazingly smart, intelligent and most of all FUN people I played a 4 hour set (with live on Violin mister Dave Kim and support by legend DJ John Dill) until we took the last boat off of the island at 3:30am. An amazing adventure! I have been in the studio again the last couple of days to be sure that some new tracks will come your way soon! Have fun listening for now and see you soon! Hasta la vista!

Acclaimed Spanish DJ Edu Ostos - aka Ed is Dead takes on our Chilled Transmission today.  Edu has been making music for over 15 years, playing in various different bands before carving a name for himself in the electronic music scene as DJ and producer. Performing under various different guises he has toured with the likes of Santana, Manu Chao, Asian Dub Foundation and even Slipknot. He’s released music on Universal and Warner Music and has hit number 1 on the Spanish iTunes chart several times. He’s also been nominated for eight Spanish Electronic Music Awards, and has DJ’d all over the world and has his own weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio. In 2015 he won the award for ‘Best Spanish Producer’ by Spain’s prestigious Vicious Magazine.

His new single, ‘And I’ (Minifunk/BlancoyNegro), made with fellow Spanish artist WOMOH is full of blissful beats and an understated addictive vocal from newcomer NN ‘And I’ which is the perfect slice of chilled electronica for the summer, it seemed only sense to get him on our Chilled Transmission. Complete with an equally chilled and sun-filled video, filmed on location in Thailand and directed by Mauri Galiano.

Having been going to Fusion for 10 years, this was a dream come true and I probably never was so excited and nervous before a set. Although I imagined how it hopefully would be, the moment itself exceeded my expectations and I just couldn't stop smiling. I feel very grateful that my vision of what a sunrise at Fusion can sound like resonated so well with you all.. 
Please excuse the occasional audio glitches - there was a voltage problem with the mixer which made the audio cut out at random moments. There aren't too many of those though :)

It took no less than 15 years of DJ’ing before Sandeep finally found his way to the studio, resulting in a remix for, and several collaborations with, die Stube Records founder Hollt. Sandeep’s long, deep, progressive and atmospheric sets have paved the way for his first ever solo EP, ‘The Deeper Dreamer’.

The EP kicks off with the story-telling ‘The Deeper Dreamer’, built on a solid foundation of drums, a slightly filtered kick and several dreamy synths and pads. With the delicate and dreamy original fitting for those longer sets in dark basement clubs, Hollt’s reinterpretation has a slightly coarse sound in comparison, yet making it a day-dreamy track for those hazy afternoons.

For Whom The Bells Toll is special collaboration between Sandeep and Australian based cellist Wilma. After having met online, the two artists worked together on this slightly melancholic, deep house an neo-classical music cross-over gem. Listening to the original during the night, the acoustic version will suit any Sunday morning.
