Crimson Butterfly is an experimental electronic duo from Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia. For 10 years of activity, these flagships of local avant scene have created a rich and eclectic catalogue of releases and gained somewhat of a cult following for their sonically and visually intense live concerts full of improvisation. Crimsons are known for stylistic variation of gigs and releases from rough techno and industrial dance themes and multi-layered glitches to raw and meditative drone ambient. For the time being Crimson Butterfly actively support Nizhniy Novgorod local independent scene and are welcome guests at underground dancehalls and avant music festivals in Moscow, Berlin, Kiev and many other cities.
