“Newcomer Dalek One serves up a fair amount of deceit and destruction with ‘Root of All Evil’. Blood drips down the outskirts of a harsh, distorted stereo image, which looks to blur listeners’ perception of reality. It defines Rebel Traxx’s love for dark music, do your best to keep up with it all. Dar Kist reaches out to 'traditional' halfstep fans, with a short adventure in percussive and b-line treatment. The choirs that build up to a mammoth second drop are very inventive, something we rate highly from the New Zealand producer. Subclever's inclusion is more of an earthbound production, focusing on sub architecture and extraterrestrial atmospheres. The Californian beat maker reaches a high-altitude climax by tweaking his purebred automation lines. Provoke, Rebel Traxx label owner, twists his production into a less earthy substance. His move consists of darkened pressure, delay artillery and distorted riffs invading space. Yin Yang Audio finishes off the EP by devoting their time and effort to a stepper serving almost anyone. The repetition of elements makes it a jam with a familiar drive. The way the bottom end moves in the lower region of the mix is simply striking. Shouts to Rebel Traxx - these tunes are fire!“

For our latest download we welcome the man, the myth, the overseas legend - Lucas The Flow. The rest of the year is very busy for this man so we're happy he could drop off these banger for you guys!

Lucas The Flow was born in West Virginia in the USA into a family with a father who was an acoustic musician, which became his early inspiration. In 2006 he learned to play guitar and began experimenting with recording, and a few years after came his first productions with Ableton Live in 2010, and then learning to DJ using Traktor for live events while in college. Lucas's production interests shifted to focus on dubstep, funk, glitch hop, downtempo, trap, DNB & more experimental styles. In recent years he has released music on a multitude of diverse labels and been booked for Big Dub, Lost Lands, Infrasound & more in the USA. Now a seasoned performer and producer, Lucas flows between genres and vibes seamlessly to create a cohesive, yet constantly shifting body of music.

The Myth EP consists of 5 stunning tracks
(including the intro) enriched with Eastern influences and tight coiled
productions.

'Hastur' takes the audience on a journey through the jungle, lead by a  music box like melody, coming more and more into focus.
Suddenly you get swallowed up by a sea of heavy bass, ripping sound design and wobble. 
Reaching the eye of the storm, conscious spoken vocals remind us that we have crossed over back to our dimension and we are slowly realizing that our journey is coming to an end.
