Translation Recordings is proud to present the sampler for Nuage's long-awaited 'Prints of You' LP, featuring two hand-picked standouts from the album and two exclusive remixes by Ital Tek and Silent Dust.

On ‘Lifestyle,’ Nuage and Gerwin create a dreamy and uplifting atmosphere, blending warm Rhodes keys, silky vocals, and an infectious head-nodding groove. Nuage dials things down to 136 BPM on title track ‘Prints of You,’ a beautiful and evocative composition from the heart that progresses along to a heavyweight bassline with hints of analogue distortion. This essential groove demonstrates Nuage’s continuing refinement as a musician and provides the perfect teaser for the full 15-track album, which covers the spectrum of Deep House, Garage, Drum & Bass, and Chillstep.

As an added bonus on the sampler, experimental 160 BPM duo Silent Dust offer a fresh take on Nuage and N4M3’s ‘Sunday Morning,’ fusing Jungle breaks and Footwork influences; and renowned Planet-Mu artist Ital Tek closes things up with his re-imagining of ‘Prints of You,’ where shuffling percussive rhythms and bouncing 808 bass offer a more up-tempo twist on the title track that is not to be missed.

Swinging Flavors is BACK! After releasing material from names such as Simon Off aka Sun People, Moresounds, DJ Madd, Ticklish, Sully, Addison Groove, Itoa and Lynch Kingsley our 7” vinyl series devoted to Bass Culture and dancefloor vibes is back again with the the Sixth One aka BMRSF006. 
After having a Japan vs USA Chicago Footwork sound clash with DJ Fulltono and DJ Earl’s “Tribal Dancer”, now it’s time for an atlantic connection - in the name of Bass Music obviously. 

On the A Side you’ll find Sinistarr’s “55555”: the Detroit bass producer - with a 10yrs experience in sound design and recently appeared with an astonishing work on legendary dBridge label Exit Records - gives us a pure example of his sonic craziness with a minimal-but-high-impact work, with chopped vocal samples, magic flutes and heavy basses. 

On the B Side “55555” gets a full treatment by Philip D. Kick: Cosmic Bridge honcho Jim Coles - well known in the worldwide bass scene as Om Unit - surprisingly comes back with his iconic footwork moniker giving to the original vibes a more accentuate rave touch, with hyper speed drum patterns, amen breaks and piano notes. 

And then...surprise surprise, for the digital format it will be also a special digi-exclusive by Sinistarr “Clear Your Mind”. You will go crazy on this one!

Ruins Bio:

"Sharing a deep enthusiasm for the UK underground music scene, Sydney natives Sarah Tonkin and Pip Dolan unveiled their Ruins project in 2015.

Through their collective influences, combined skills and knowledge, the duo have crafted a sound that spans UK Bass & Breakbeat, with hints of Footwork, Techno and Dubstep.

Since the duo’s inception they have released their productions on labels both locally and internationally and are known for throwing down high-energy and eclectic sets in the Sydney club and warehouse scene.

The pair also run their own string of underground parties under the ‘Construct’ moniker, which focuses on pushing the sounds of UK club music as well as creating a platform for local artists and niches."

Jack Stevens aka Sully has become somewhat of a cult figure in the jungle world with his output being in high demand. His work is unmistakable. It’s always true to it’s origins while simultaneously adding new takes and juxtapositions in palette and composition. A true artist that excels in his field.

Stevens returns to Astrophonica with Swandive, a body of work presented in dual energies - dark & light, body & mind, Yin & Yang. In Werk you’re put to the test physically as es- ki-like percussion stabs grab the attention and demand a response. A staple in Fracture’s DJ sets for the last year or so.

Poison demonstrates a side to Stevens’ production that is harder, meaner, cruder and all together more brutal than he is known for. The result is an infectious mix of venomous bass and corrupted drum breaks fit to kill any dance.

The title track Swandive begins to counterbalance the fierce energy and bring some har- mony opening with calming strings and trademark icy melodies before elevating to an intense state of amen divinity that twists and turns in a story like fashion.

Memories completes the balance with euphoric bass stabs and emotional strings culminat- ing in a searing and conclusive anime-like solo. Some of Stevens’ most daring work. The cycle is complete.
