"Raw Charles” was a little sketch I had going last year, and when I finished the “Here Come The Bastards Remix” for Primus I wanted to add something truly ridiculous at the end, so I asked Les if I could include a random piece of one of my songs on it as like an unexpected bonus of sonic brutality. He liked the idea. So for this release, I wanted to include “Raw Charles” all by himself.

Enjoy this live recording of the Plump DJs (Grand Hotel Recordings) from the Space Cowboys' 13th annual Breakfast of Champions in San Francisco on New Year's Day. The Plumps were a surprise, unannounced addition to the line-up this year and to the delight of an unsuspecting crowd, they lit up the Funktion One stage as the sun was setting on yet another epic B.O.C. Plumps DJs are internationally renown UK DJ/Producer duo Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, whose passion for innovation and non-conformist attitude to electronic music has fuelled their fire for over a decade. Their unmistakeable signature sound has earned them recent remix commissions from the likes of Deadmau5, Mark Ronson, Moby and Orbital while their four deck live show has lead to countless international tours and shows at London's lead music venues XOYO, Fabric and the Nest. Plump DJs RIPEcast - Live from Breakfast of Champions 2013

I did this mix for Groove Radio International in December 2012 as a tribute to the beginning of the early 90s techno scene, known today as EDM (Electronic Dance Music). In 1991, I co-hosted "The MARS FM Top 30 Countdown" with Swedish Eagle. I also had my hands in mixing the tracks together with DJ Robin! Our program also received the number one rated slot in the Los Angeles area from the hours of 12pm to 3pm every Saturday afternoon. MARS FM (Santa Monica, California based radio station) was short lived, but was historic in many ways and was the first FM radio station in Southern California and across the US broadcasting the music heard on this mix 24-7. Swedish Egil continues this mission with his now famous Groove Radio and Groove Radio International.
