Couldn't be happier with my Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1! Having grown up listening to the Radio 1 Dance Family & Essential Mixes religiously, they had a huge influence on my musical taste. So much so, that I would even say that I wouldn't be making the music I make today if it wasn't for their impact.

It's always a huge honour to work with Radio 1 and I had a lot of fun putting this mix together for you, including a few surprises to highlight some of those early influences.
It's always been a dream of mine to make an essential mix, so this feels like a huge milestone for me, thank you BBC Radio 1🙏🏻

At times like this, I always think back to where I started and it has been an amazing journey so far, from playing at house parties and small clubs to some of the most incredible stages around the world. So thanks to everyone that has supported me along the way ❤

Bio:Eddie, even known as Herr Nilsson is a Swedish DJ and Producer.

Herr Nilsson delved into the world of music in 2014, initially as a DJ inspired by the Techno scene. Eventually he found his passion in music production, creating his own unique brand of sound. Under the motto: "You will find 'true' art in the smallest of details".

Herr Nilsson is known for his distinct sound which combines hypnotic high-energy grooves and tribal infused vocals to set the vibe on a mysterious enigma. His sound is clearly mysterious, melodic & progressive and makes sure to capture the listeners hearts and souls within every beat.

After moving to Australia in 2016, Herr Nilsson continued to pursue his passion for music, connecting with venues and artists around the world. His musical journey took him to Greece in 2019, where he served as a resident DJ for six months before returning to Sweden in 2020. In 2023, after a decade of dedication to his art, Herr Nilsson felt it was about time to share his music with the world.

As of today his music has already caught attention worldwide and has been supported & played by artists such as Agents Of Time, Korolova, Joris Voorn, Yotto, Solomun - just to name a few. His innovative approach to music keeps him motivated to always try to find a new way to stand out in the industry and with many more releases to come with some of the most respected labels in the melodic house & techno scene.
