On EP ‘The Snoofer’, German deep house producer, Moomin, provides four heartfelt tracks reflecting nature. ‘For Willow’ hand-carves its way into the listener’s periphery with dainty, hazy, floating synths and a distinct shimmer of one extremely gorgeous hi hat.

Remixer Seb WIldblood flips this with an immediate level of breakbeat euphoria. Taking the track’s less obvious melodies and translating them into warm, classic key stabs, Wildblood intensifies ‘For Willow’s’ core essence, creating a rave-ready sonic spectacle of a track.

Brainchild of Multi Culti A&R, Sascha Funke and Niklas Wandt were introduced by Dreems, who charted a course for the seasoned Berlin-based producer and funky multi-percussionist and singer. 

Wandt was just about to enter the scene forcefully with his collaborative 2LP with Wolf Müller and the debut single of his band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge. In the icey cold of his warehouse rehearsal space, Funke had him record a variety of slapped, bowed and scratched percussions (congas, talking drum, prepared cymbals played with a bass bow) over his tracks. These first efforts were later expanded into joint sessions at Sascha's home studio and, within a few weeks, the journey reached it’s destination: Wibe strasse, Deutschland.

At first glance, they seem an odd couple: a techno veteran of almost thirty years meets a side-burned upstart socialized in Free Jazz and Krautrock. but the shared sonic influences come through in the hypnotic, dubbed-out sound, perhaps rooted in the close connection the two share to the Rheinland region in West Germany, Funke as part of the Kompakt family and Wandt by origin and socialization in the Cologne and Düsseldorf music scene centered around the Salon des Amateurs. Regional flavours, global appeal. Multi Culti, promoting local collaboration, one freaky record at a time.

Los Suruba and their record label Nazca Records present their ninth release called Sacred EP produced by the brothers Corey and Ryan, better known as Wild Dark. 

From Brooklyn, they will captivate every listener with this release that comes out throughout three fantastic tracks that intrigue from the first minute. Their releases on Happy Camper, Suruba X and True Colors, Bedouin´s imprint, among others, as well as their imposing sound made possible their entrance in Nazca by aligning itself with the characteristics of the label. 

NAZCA Records was born after internalising the connection between the advanced world of the Viracochas, beings from other planets and the archaic world of the Nazcas, lovers of music, dance and art in general. This new EP consists of three songs. 

The first one, 'Sacred' combines a futuristic and mechanical beat with ancestral vocals that sound like out of this world, while exotic tambourines fusion with pleasant guitar sounds that slowly bring you back to earth. 'Like A Whisper' climaxes in sensual percussions caressed by guitar chords that make each silhouette stand out on the dance floor. 

Finally, 'Day For Night' is an archaic ritual that catches you in this mystic combo. The electronic synths keep your feet on the ground while the intensity grows allowing the flutes to merge with your senses letting the vocals direct your thoughts.If you want to be part of this tribute to psychedelic musical mysticism, do not miss the release date this next January 14th.

PREMIERE: Wild Dark - Day For Night [Nazca]

Press Info: "Shunus makes his second appearance on WAYU Records with another powerful and consistent musical production. An EP that could not be more suitably named, “Peripheral” demonstrates Shunus’ ability to explore the outer edges of many genres without stepping far from a conceptual proposition. 

In this brand new EP, Shunus successfully incorporated industrial elements into dry and groovy rhythms, maintaining a Melodic Deep Tech sound by adding subtle hi-hats and arpeggios throughout all of the tracks. Not only was he able to bring new fusions into Peripheral EP, but he also introduced his own voice on 2 tracks; demonstrating his versatility.

If that is not enough, Shunus invited two talented artists to be part of this release; Emiliana, a Colombian up-and-coming singer who collaborated in the track “Don’t Forget to Dream”, and Urmet K, a producer based in London, who delivered a fresh perspective on the track “Vibrations”."

The label launched in January 2019 and has featured a combination of singles and compilation releases with artists such as Sascha Funke, Curses, TAPAN, Damon Jee, Biesmans, Khidja, Anatolian Weapons, and Tolouse Low Trax, to name a few and its objective is to promote positive social change and raise funds for our Sinchi Foundation, which supports Indigenous forest guardians in the Brazilian Amazon.
