Venice. A city of canals, masks, and hidden passions. Here, amidst foggy streets and whispers of history, Francesco Tamburrano (@ft-dubtechno) seeks thrill, risk, and fate. His new album, The Gambler, is more than eight tracks in the dub techno genre—it is a musical reinterpretation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel The Gambler. Every sound, every vibration feels like a roll of the dice, leading the listener into deep, almost mystical labyrinths of the human psyche.

It begins with “Alexei Ivanovich”—an introspection of a hero teetering between passion and madness. “Polina Alexandrovna” shrouds you in melancholy and mystery, as if the music tells its own secret intrigues. “General” resonates with authority and order, while “Madame de Cominges” gently draws you into an elegant game of seduction and manipulation. “Marquis de Grieux” is a rhythmic elegy of desire, “Mr Astley” hints at hidden motives and perilous games, “Mlle Blanche” transports you into a light, almost ethereal illusion, and “Potapych” concludes the album, leaving a lingering sense of contemplative longing and the inevitability of fate.

Each composition by Francesco Tamburrano is crafted with the precision of an alchemist: deep motifs intertwine with spatial effects, creating the sensation that the sound breathes alongside you. This album is an experiment at the boundaries of time, space, and emotion.

On the vast, dusty plains of the planet Voxar live the Vocalite, a mysterious people in tune with the pulsating energy of the techno universe. Their homeworld is an endless desert of shimmering metallic sands, crisscrossed by glowing, neon rivers that light up the sky during the night.

The Vocalite are renowned for their ability to hear the vibrations of the universe and transform them into music. Deeply connected to the machines and technology that permeate their planet, they use sound waves and digital frequencies to shape their cities—floating metropolises of gleaming obsidian structures, where the hum of synthesizers is the language of the land. Rival Consoles - Recovery (Controlwerk Edit)

We've been keeping track of @Playgroundrecords from afar for some time, as one the most interesting labels coming out of Argentina. The label having a strong emphasis on introducing young producers from the country and often featuring remixes from many of the hottest names in Europe. In this thirteen edition, @Attom-official joins the roster.

The release is polished, dealing with many atmospheres, complex rhythmics, full of syncopes, sparkling, mysterious and tripping sounds with a decided beat.

@The-Two-Mamarrachos is on remix duties for Acd Dnc and lead it into dark disco territory. With modulations of macabre vibrations they take us to a perverse and dystopian club.

@InsultToInjuryRecords is a brand new record label, run by @TimothyClerkin & bigger brother, @the-Ransom-Note Records. 

Setting sail on a techno-tangent / psychedelic-adventure, they present to the world their first release – the Zephyr EP, courtesy of Latvian-born, Tel Aviv-based artist @AnnaLann & French DJ/vocalist @Emmanuel-Caurel. 

Anna has previously released on Moist and Forming a Moon –she also runs the multidisciplinary creative art hub PentHouss. Most recently, Anna’s remix of ‘Cholera’ by C.A.R. was featured as the soundtrack to Gal Shenfeld’s spring/summer collection ‘Heroes’ at Tel Aviv Fashion Week 2018. 

On this EP, Anna and Emmanuel have created three slabs of downtempo techno weirdness that it would be utterly pointless attempting to describe in words.
