Fred is not a newcomer, he started in electronic music 25 years ago. He made his debut in the early 2000s on two techno and electro French labels: Goodlife and Scandium. Both were an inspiration for us when we started Factor City in 2003. 
Back From The Wave is the most personal project of Fred, exploring and combining electro, techno, italo and Ebm. As he already showed on his excellent releases for Ritmo Fatale, Mélopée, Bordello A Parigi, Nein and here again on these exciting three tracks.
The Ep comes baked with an excellent Jorkes remix. The Stuttgart based producer and Freeride Millenium co-owner has delivered excellent records and remixes this year on Permanent Vacation, Aus and Live at Robert Johnson. Now on Factor City.

Forward-thinking and adventurous, Jakarta born and raised DJ & Producer https://soundcloud.com/pastfutura is easily recognized by his uninhibited approach to dance music. Always blending genres, his sound could be defined as haunted and euphoric, the result of a delicate and neat mixture of marked basses, thriller melodies and hard-driven grooves.
Surrounded by darkness with a stripped down post-apocalyptic vibe, all these influences merge into this EP, creating a unique sound that could only be labeled as Jungle Body Music !

Going on remix duty, we are delighted to have Fauve Records boss Romain FX, offering us a sweaty-sexy-discoish take on “Jungle Belly”, reminiscing of the glorious days of Cerrone, and label founder Naranja delivering a club oriented version of “Arcadia of My Youth”.

Every track has its own spirit, in a kind of a 90s journey way.
The compilation is a fascinating mixture of weird cosmic and slow goa sequences to more emotional places with powerful bassdriven downtempo techno and slightly trance influenced anthems as well as distinctive tribal acid easiness with melancholic pads and epic melodies.

Furthermore it involves faster loaded minimal hypnotic synth sounds and dark UK-House with a big-beat touch to it. Raw liquid floating sharp breaks melts into rave stompers which are inhabited by sensitive living microbes vibrating jungle atmospheres.

The Queer Northern-Ireland born Cormac is back from another busy year as a label honcho and curator with the second Polari compilation No Tears In The Backroom Vol. 2 scheduled for release 31st of January 2024.

The compilation is filled with synth heavy swings, acid basslines, steamy vocals and lots of fun, making NTITB Vol. 2 the perfect entrance release into the new year.

Cormac says; No Tears In The Backroom Vol. 2 is a unique family with offerings from Polari hitmakers such as Jordan Nocturne, ROTCIV, & Louis de Tomaso as well as introducing new talent to the roster including DJ City, Nimmo, Shay Shaz, Hifi Sean, Joshua James + Xols.

I curate the compilation much as I do a DJ set, so there is a voyage of sorts in listening to the compilation as a whole. I encourage the listener to listen as you would an album, although they of course work solo as well.

A 10-track long journey forms a unique force of anthemic sounds, tapping into nostalgia but never pulling away from today's references. No Tears In The Backroom Vol. 2 serves as a dance-heavy pursuit aiming to not hold back.

The label profits from the new compilation are going to charity. Polari has previously raised money for All Out.

Doctors Without Borders is a politically neutral Non-Governmental Organisation whose main objective is to treat people in regions of the world where they are most needed. They are currently most active in Gaza and have a further 70 projects active in the world.
