Highly influenced by early 1980’s electronic music and classic 90's trance, Emilio Van Rijsel from Lille, France, debuts on Italo Moderni with energetic Moroder-esque propelling bass lines next to epic synth patterns and hypnotic sounds. With “Tendre Furie EP”, Emlio van Rijsel offers a glimpse of the wide array of his influences, embarking us on a synthful romantic & melancholic journey, depicting the nostalgia of missed blissful raving nights. Without a doubt, Italo Moderni bets on this great artist who has a very promising future on the dancefloors.

Remixes duties fall to Raw Union man St. Theodore, who replaces those italo trance flourishes with the strobe-lit pulse of Giallo and master producer Daniel Monaco the layers of well-informed 80s synth wave sends us into another dimension with high energy vibes.

Born and raised in Indonesia, Omar Joesoef built this EP with samples of old records of ethnic music that he has found in an abandoned radio station on Java island. Named Lokananta, it is one of the first radios setting up in Indonesia in the 50’s. The recordings in Omar’s EP come from rituals and meditative chants of one of the last tribes still living in the ancient way, completely disconnected from the modern world.

Chants of Gorontalo opening track is named after a province of Indonesia located on the island of Sulawesi. Over there lives the Dayak tribe who still follows its ancient traditional way of life. They practice rituals to communicate with their ancestors using chants and meditation. This first track is about a prayer for harvests, fertility and prosperity. Dayak is a very intimate and enclosed tribe, keeping themselves away from modern society. These recordings of them singing found by Omar in Lokananta radio station are very rare and special. Lokananta is also the first record label of Indonesia, releasing recordings of wayang performances, speeches, Javanese orchestra. It is a great source of inspiration for Joesoef’s work.

Morning World track is a reading of a Java old story about a mythical creature called Gatot Kaca. Searching old records in his storage room, Omar accidentally found somewhat of a scripture in ancient Javanese. The meaning of it came from his family. The script was released by Kraton, an ancient Javanese royal palace, and was passed down on Omar's mother's side of the family. The story is a simplified folklore called Wayang, a traditional form of puppet theatre play from Java island. Omar found a Latin version of the script and asked his friend Sascha Alatas to read it in the way he used to hear it at Wayang plays when he was a kid. To complete the track, Omar made some minor manipulations of the voice and added a few samples of Lokananta records such as bird sounds and environmental soundscape. 

“It’s the Heat in the Room” track conveys a strong and powerful energy with consistent heavy bassline, snappy snare, groovy percussion ensemble and vocal samples of the Dayak tribe. The song emulates the adrenalin rush one might feel in the middle of a night hunt. Some of the sounds chosen reminds of the echoes that may be experienced in a dark cave when a single stone breaks on the floor.

Mijo and Rodion are the perfect couple. They share the love of food, analog synths, cats and live perfomances.

This Ep is a perfect combination of all the things they love and much more. Recording live most of this EP they display a very interesting set of skills that runs trough all the tracks. Looped vocals, deep basses sequences, weird melodies and intense drum beats.

Canadian and Mexican forces are on remix duties. Von Party and Iñigo Vontier are also food lovers that with their dise project "Salsa FIngers" give a delicious turn to "Criminal" that is full of psyichedelia and a lot of spicy Salsa.

Performing only live shows, Idolos Futuros have been playing all around Mexico for the last years and we are proud to be the first label to release a litle of the music they have been doing during those intense perfomances.

We have something special for our next release. Mickey Dagger, who previously released a track on our Spiral compilation, sent us a whole EP jam-packed with incredible remixes. 

For his cover of the ‘80s kitsch track "I Want To Be A Cowboy,” he adds his signature dark and slightly sarcastic spin.
On the remix side, we have Antoni Maiovvi, who did a big room mix, Thomas Von Party, who made a breaky one, Ortrotasce, who contributed an old-school industrial/EBM version, and label head Facets, who was convinced by Mickey to provide his own take.

All the proceeds will be going to ISKWEU Project an indigenous women's shelter in Canada.

PREMIERE | Metallic Means - Sonder (Moonoton Remix) [ИДА] 2021

A thick fog of cigarette smoke hung in the air, conjuring up shapes that flowed and danced before disappearing under the dimly lit lights. The bar was fairly empty bar the few regulars that frequented this spot night on night, and a weird hooded figure sat in the corner who'd barely looked up from his drink since entering. It was rare that outsiders found their way to this place, it was way off the beaten track, but this stranger had somehow infiltrated their space - how and why were a mystery.

Facets' Samo Records label are celebrating five years with their 10th release, No Evidence, which rallies some good friends of the label together. Local Suicide and Skelesys continue their collaboration with two original cuts inspired by old deceptive novels and a girl's disorientating journey at a party. These are  backed up by three remixes: a high octane refix from the label boss, an EBM twist from Intergalactic Gary and our pick, an acid-driven rave mix from Anatolian Weapons.

With Ashram Temple, La Mverte invites us to a trip that he’s never undertaken before. Leaving behind the formats and tempi to which he was known to be used to until then, it is a question here of leaving to the exploration of a still uncharted territory of his musical continent, much slower than usual, in an almost balearic spirit, imbued with mystery and always plunged into darkness. Established as the starting point of a long term series relating his imaginary odysseys, this first opus offers to take us towards the northern jungles of India, investigating a secret cult practicing certain forgotten rituals within the walls of a forsaken temple.

The original track is offered no less than 3 remixes. Youkounkoun (Jeff Lasson and Gaëtan Rossi) delivers a very personal remix, almost dance-balearic - after some incursions by I’m a Cliché, Invisible Inc or Partyfine - playing around the central melody and the haunted choirs. Theus Mago, aka Mateo Gonzalez, known for his releases on Optimo Music, Lumière Noire or Duro, offers us a club-oriented version in an indie-dance fashion. Finally, The Populists gives us his take on the track, from a disco-ish intro to more electroclash vibes, as it can be previously heard on his releases via Zone, Space Factory or XXX.
