Homelessness Fund Raiser Album “Shelter Me - In Crisis” - All Proceeds To Be Donated Directly To UK Based Charity Crisis - Shelter Me is a compassionate and dedicated collective that, in our modest capacity, endeavors to address the challenge of the continuously expanding homeless communities across the UK.
Our primary goal is to raise funds by leveraging the platform of electronic dance music, whether it involves organizing events or, as is the case here, releasing music.
"Shelter Me - In Crisis" represents the third installment in our ongoing Shelter Me series, dedicated to supporting UK-based homelessness charities. Building upon the success of our previous albums, "Beats for Beds - The Remixes" and "Shelter Me - The Album," which collectively raised over 7K in donations for Shelter, this latest release aims to further our contributions, only this time to Crisis.
This album has assembled some of the most talented artists and producers from the renowned ALFOS scene, including Duncan Gray, Zillas On Acid, Al Mackenzie, A-Tweed, and Tronik Youth, among others. With such an impressive lineup, we are determined to exceed our past accomplishments, setting an initial fundraising goal of 4K.

For the better part of 14 years of releases, the Greek producer living in England, Yiannis Vlastaris, has stripped club music to the studs, winking at specific genres without fully claiming one.

From deep ambient soundtracks to minimal dub techno partial celestial bodies of works, progressive and raging trance anthems.

Ov3rblast delivers on Polaris LP masterfully a blend of deep techno soundscapes, tribal aesthetics, and African deep housey elements.

Opening tracks create a vacuum to bring into his territory.

The following tracks Musica Humana, and Occult Frequencies, with an organic touch, and analogue percussions, feel like a celebration of life.

Prana and Divine Art remind sunrises into hidden landscapes.

Samahdi evaporates sweet melodic arps sequenced with tiny microlayers and heavenly surprises which take you far away, Akashas a tool for deep divine manifestations.

Nothing less in the middle parts of the LP keeps escalating his atmosphere into a barrage of sounds, colours, floating vocals, and ecstatic melodies.

His sound design does not describe any genres or zones, expansive layers of emotions, or sounds like the soundtrack from an alternative sci-fi mystical movie.

A journey into the abyss of sound, esoteric, bright full, wide and spacious.

Outro tracks, Polaris and Universal Harmony combine fractured storytelling and instrumental passages, with programmed synth effects in woozy harmonic compositions that soar and thrill, warped, ethereal, space-age noises that are complex of timbre and harmony.

Sean Johnston is the man behind Hardway Bros, an alias well known for wobbly, downtempo, and synth-laced disco jams which have appeared on the likes of Is it Balearic?, Whiskey Pickle, and Throne of Blood over the last decade, while his A Love From Outer Space parties, formed with the late-Andrew Weatherall are a vital bastion of lower-tempo house, disco and psychedelic sounds as well as being a place where many of Rekids boss Radio Slave's current LP tracks have been broken at, leading to this very release. On this single, which is a love letter to legendary early 90s label Murk Records, Johnston links with vocalist Beth Cassidy, known for her work as part of Manchester’s Sea Fever and Section 25. 

Hardway Bros’ wonderful 'Murky' is deep and sensual house music. The vocal brings sultry charm, unfolding in soulful style over whimsical ambient pads and chunky drums. It oozes with character and harks back to actual songwriting of days gone by. 

Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve is an alias of dance music pioneers Erol Alkan and Richard Norris. It was established to bring psyched-out, acid touches to the dance floor and has resulted in a critically acclaimed album on Alkan’s Phantasy Sound and much more. Their excellent Re-Animation is eight minutes of drawn-out disco chug, loose grooves and masterful chord work. Up last is a Coral Way dub that strips things back to the beats, layers in plenty of cosmic FX, and lets your imagination run wild on the tripped-out synth leads that pan between the stars.

The well-known Various Artists series from our label returns with a fresh twist. Since last year, we've decided to change the sound of our July release, bringing a more downtempo and electronica vibe. We've kept those low BPMs that are a favorite of our label boss, Eddy Romero. This time, we have 5 tracks—4 originals and one remix—that you're going to love.
Our label boss starts things off with a fusion of his two aliases, Eddy Romero and Saturnz Other Soul, in a track titled "The Dilema." that takes you on a personal trip through his intricate soundscapes and the vocals. Following that, the magnificent Dad Of The Year lands with a very strong track that mixes many parts of his unique world, keeping his recognizable groove with cinematic melodies and a vocal that accompanies the trip splendidly.
On the third part of this VA, we have Fábel, a master in downtempo and electronica sounds, who mixes jazz vibes and dub movements in a masterpiece for lovers of this genre. This exceptional track comes paired with a remix by Saturnz Other Soul, which takes the original version to another dimension. Lastly, we welcome back French artist Chillohm, who previously gave us a more dub house style and now brings a track with ethnic sounds that periodically represent the evolution of our label.
We hope you enjoy this EP as much as we have. Each track is a journey, and together they form a collection that embodies the spirit of Expmental Records.
