Originally hailing from South London and now based in Margate, Damo runs "The Red Telephone" club night, together with Melissa Borris and co-hosts a radio show of the same name with fellow DJ Zoe Artingstall on Margate Radio. 
Damo’s sets can range from leftfield electronic, Italo, ebm and techno with everything else in between to form an eclectic set.

The Darker Side of Disco is a radioshow hosted by Reyk. In the monthly show he will showcase Disco influenced music with a darker twist. It will feature the latest releases and timeless classics from genres like Italo Disco, Indie Dance, Dark Disco, some trance vibes and everything in between.

Episode 7 is all about slowing things down. I challenged myself to keep the BPMs low while keeping the energy high. I hope you enjoy the result as much as I do!

The Darker Side of Disco - Episode 7

LATIDO is proud to present Bicho Raro, the new EP by veteran Spanish producer Undo, a key figure in the country’s electronic scene for over two decades. Known for his emotional approach to club music, Undo delivers three original tracks that showcase his unmistakable flair for strong, memorable melodies and subtle intensity. 
From the cinematic drive of “A Shot In The Dark” to the playful weirdness of “Ornitorrinco”, the EP blends warmth, groove and just the right amount of strangeness. The track Ornitorrinco is presented in two different versions, each offering a distinct take on its quirky identity and melodic tension. 
The release closes with a remix by Odopt (Hivern Discs, Born Free), who reshapes Ornitorrinco into a darker, more hypnotic piece, pushing the track into murkier, serpentine territory.

'A decade has passed since Infinity Night graced Bordello A Parigi with his wonderful Winter and Summer EPs. After too long a wait, the French producer returns with the aptly titled Le Temps Qui Passe. Six slices of select synthesizer music make up the 12”, tracks lovingly crafted with Frederic Bergamaschi’s trademark analogue warmth. A melancholic melody meanders through brightness in “Tu Ne Me Réponds Pas”, dulcet words hidden under the machine gauze of a vocoder. Skittish percussion gives way to the refrain of “It’s Full of Stars”. Hazy keys appear as an arpeggiator rumbles below a shimmering sky. “Les Souvenirs De Valerie” picks up where its predecessor left off. Astral notes are beamed into the heavens, echoing into the while crisp cymbals tether the piece. Infinity Night has always sought that point of balance in his music, a bittersweetness he accentuates and explores. This is true in the darker shades of “Nymphomania”. Beats are bolstered, key stabs piercing the tenderness of analogue trills. The title track is a rich patchwork. A burbling undercurrent supports forays into diverse tangents with lyrics surfacing through key shifts and sliding scales. Marching to militaristic rhythms, “I Comme Icare” is the curtain call. The stringent drums are broken by sailing synthlines, vocals masked in a familiar mesh to close. Le Temps Qui Passe, well worth the wait.'

'A small package that delivers a serious wallop, “Try No More” by Glitterin is guaranteed to provide some heat on dancefloors this Summer. From the juddering throb of the opening kicks to the ricocheting rhythms, the track fixes itself directly under the mirrorball from the outset. Produced by Jason Core, this is late night lover affair material that is brimming with energy. When the firework melody bursts, it ignites. Sharp and warm synth stabs are left smouldering by the driving and impassioned voice of Sandry Sanz. A tale of unrequited love unfolds between the cymbal crashes and spiralling synthines, lines that grow ever bolder through Tony David’s emotive guitar solo. The flip is dedicated to Core’s instrumentation with the range of analogue sounds and synthesizer intensity coming to the fore. Intricate patterns and counter melodies are woven, key shifts and pulsating percussion imbibe this dub mix with all the spirit of the original. Fierce and fiery from beginning to end.'

Lucy Cliché - Heady Duet

Out on Rotterdam's Electronic Emergencies, this dark experimental and downright nasty series of tracks are well worthy of your time but this remixed version of Vägskäl is so visceral and urgent that it should have a flashing light and siren on it's bonnet so that it can get to where it needs to and that everyone knows to get out of it's way. The fact that Grymt translates to both 'grim' and 'cool' give you some indication of where this track is on the PH Scale. 
Body Music at it's finest.

Romantic Fiction - the debut LP from Curses - is an honest musical expression drawing inﬂuences from his youth growing up in NYC in the 80s. References to new wave, post-punk, synth music and early EBM are skillfully merged with the DIY approach of punk and rock n roll angst. Brandishing an immersive sonic palette, all instruments throughout the album were played and recorded by the artist.
Exhausted by the current state of competitive dance music monotony, Romantic Fiction is a collection of songs, not DJ tools: songs that work at home, but also in the club should the right crowd beckon.
It’s about escapism and ﬁnding comfort in the unknown, fulﬁlling the empty void by embracing the mysterious. Darkness is a light undiscovered, not something to be frightened of.
Curses also invites friends who share a mutual love for incorporating post punk and new wave into contemporary electronic music. Perel delivers mighty Nina Hagen-esque operatic punk vocals on the ﬁrst single, 'Gold & Silber', whilst Dischi Autunno label boss Jennifer Cardini and Curses share a duet on the cold wave silk of 'Silence In The Dark'.
As an amalgamation of inﬂuences from multiple decades, Romantic Fiction is a deeply personal album, triggering a feeling that is unnerving at times, familiar and welcoming at others.

PREMIERE : Curses feat. Jennifer Cardini - Silence In The Dark

@MusiqueExotique is a new Amsterdam based label who in their own words....celebrates the retro, the future and the hybrid.For their debut release, they present @Machinegewehr and @AydenVice who team up to deliver a track with a timeless retro Italo vibe with Moroder inspired bass arpeggiation, mysterious vocals and pads.

On the B side, San Francisco based Dutch artist, Yobkiss, offers up a masterful remix taking the track into darker electro territory. His offering includes  haunting Japanese vocals by the producer’s long time collaborator Yuko Araki for added exotiqueness.

Released as a digital download & limited edition 12' pressed on solid white, blue & purple 12” vinyl. Includes a free digital download (printed on the label) as well as seductive cover art by the infamous Japanese twins, Hamadaraka.
