Exclusive: Hannah Holland - People Power

Everyone likes a little drama at times and this one comes in three acts. London based artist duo Super Drama is about to release the first part of their Family Drama series, which comes altogether with five tracks from Cheriii, Jaye Ward, Angel D'lite, the duo itself and Hannah Holland. The latter delivers the deepest musical approach on the various artists EP with her take People Power, which seemingly is a homage to the early Chicago House days and contains a message that's as relevant as the current world events: no person is illegal. Provided with a percussion infuenced bass line, the aforementioned deep note of People Power highlights the message, namely that of resisting anywhere and everywhere if people doubt and deny the legality of a human being. Hannah Holland delivers a mixture of various chords that are smoothly integrated into the track's corpus; that are responsible to emphasize or keep the groove and transports people's powers elegantly and intriguing through the five minutes of the track.

Sonido Moderna es un colectivo y plataforma de eventos fundada en el 2016 que busca exponer, promover y diseminar a lo que ellos llaman “electrónica de diseñador” en la limitada escena Guatemalteca. Siempre nadando contra-corriente, debido a su orientación sonora; han logrado presentarle a su público muchos exponentes e influencias de la estética que buscan. En conmemoración a este intercambio cultural y su 4to aniversario; el 02 de Noviembre del 2020 finalmente se lanzan a sacar su primer compilado de producciones originales. El compilado busca reforzar los cimientos alternativos del sonido y exponer talentos locales propios del colectivo junto a amigos y colaboradores internacionales de orígenes tan variados como Turquía, Austria, Ucrania, México y Colombia.

El track L Lounge, en palabras del propio Alf Champion: 

"L Lounge es un homenaje a un lugar en el que pase muchas horas de mi infancia… era un cuarto amplio localizado en el patio trasero de la legendaria casa de los abuelos de Mario Russell (uno de mis mejores amigos de siempre) donde pasamos horas jammeando, experimentando, creando y demás. Se vivieron varias fiestas memorables allí, era un lugar apartado de los adultos y con una vibra bastante chill; El lugar fue bautizado como “El Lounge” por Russell y como en todas las historias El Lounge eventualmente llego a su fin. Así que el único recuerdo que nos queda de ese gran lugar esta en esta canción con bajos alocados, ritmos descontrolados y voces con rastros de estupefacientes."

Globemaster is a Mexican sound engineer and producer born in Torreón, co-founder of Próximo, and part of teamwork of Maleante Records.
His influences are rock, some post-punk, and rave music, which leads him up to techno, psychedelic, and indie dance mixed sounds.

Exclusive: The Robinson - Burnout

After having made their Futureboogie debut on Summer Riot IX EP a few weeks back, Milan-based artist duo and siblings The Robinson release their first EP, Nightmares, on the label. Latter comes with altogether four tracks, and while Matrix and Nightmares come as standalone takes, the deep and melodic composition of Burnout is also remixed by legendary Ron Trent. However, it's the orginal tracks that attracts the attention of any listener as its delicate arrangement of sounds creates a housey vibe that not only is in its overall composition irresistable but the elements themselves are coherent. The outcome is a track that adds value to any DJ-set most likely bringing back those nostalgic yet not coated with dust feelings any club-goer or music enthusiast would be eager to experience on a dance floor these days.
