Embark on a sonic odyssey as Iptamenos Discos presents a thrilling fusion of sound by label heads Local Suicide and Velax. Their EP casts a shadowy, atmospheric spell, blending industrial, electro, dark disco, and techno elements into a mesmerizing tapestry of sound.

The collaboration blossomed when the Berlin based Greco-German DJ duo, Local Suicide, crossed paths with Velax during his sojourn in Mexico City. Hailing from the frigid city of Surgut in Russia, Velax brings a narrative from the existential realm, having crafted music under various aliases for nearly a decade. Fatigued by the dichotomy of truth and falsehood, good and evil, Velax transcended to a metaphysical plane to weave his tales. Meanwhile, Local Suicide's distinctive blend of dark disco, new wave, EBM, and techno serves as the perfect complement to Velax's vision. This EP also boasts high class remixes from the esteemed French icon, Arnaud Rebotini, and the visionary Mexican artist, Andre VII.

Andre VII is a prominent figure in the Mexican electronic music landscape, recognized for his imprint Platino Records, for running the renowned club Bar Oriente in Mexico City and curating Sonar Festival in Mexico. His remix of "Toro" by El Columpio Asesino has gained widespread acclaim over the past year and has graced prominent stages, championed by techno heavyweights like I Hate Models and Amelie Lens. Equally remarkable is his reinterpretation of “Moustache”, Local Suicide & Skelesys’ hit featured on Local Suicide's debut album "Eros Anikate”. With his take on “Keep Driving”, Andre VII injects his signature flair, constructing an irresistible, danceable groove accentuated by deft vocal chops and propulsive percussion.

Like the morning sun penetrating a Winter sky, a shimmering frost flecks the brightness of “Message to Nowhere”. The four tracker showcases the sound of Ruben Benabou’s Hyperstellar nom de plume, a sound that draws inspiration from sci-fi soundtracks and the warmer currents of electro. Refracted bleeps introduce the title piece, shorn beats cutting through glowing synthlines as the EP takes flight. Tight terse drum patterns are the launchpad from which melodies sail and swoop in “Words in a Void”, bittersweet strings and warbling pads bending and shifting above juddering basslines. Fellow Frenchman, and all-round electro virtuoso, The Hacker remixes “Message to Nowhere”. Pulling the track toward the centre of the floor, scissoring snares slice through echoing notes and silken shrouds in this machine funk remake. Temperatures rise for the close. Straight from Buenos Aires, producer on the rise Balam shares his musical vision on Esthetique Records with the 6-track 'Chamán' EP. Drawing inspiration from the Mayan's culture, Balam captures the perfect artefact as the organic sounds collides with electronic music. It’s a shamanic voyage into the deep where Votan - a mayan god of heart and drum - take you for a tribal dance.

With a slew of releases on Bordello A Parigi, Throne Of Blood and his very own Ombra International, the New Yorker/Berlin based Curses should definitely ring a bell. He captures the original's shamanic feel, as he extends 'Buho' into a high tension ride. White Magik is the new project of Saint Petersburg based DJ and producer Kirill Rem. Kirill is also known as a member of Russian kraut-techno/post-punk band Seven Knives (Ombra INTL), former member of disco collective Sportloto (Compost, Nang) and for his own projects Electrodynamique and Piezo.

Under the new alias, White Magik focuses on a pleasurable cocktail of EBM, new beat, early trance, electro and dark disco and gets the attention in the mixes of Tronik Youth, Future Bones, Roe Deers, K-Effect, Ali X & Ximena, as well as some heavy-weight EBM DJs around the globe. His tracks were remixed by Emile Strunz, Randolph & Mortimer, Brynjolfur, Moisees, Kitschy Kitsch, among others.

In order to have a better understanding about the new release, "Escape The Void" – coming soon on the acclaimed label Nein Records –, we have to revisit White Magik’s first EP: "Total Ego Loss" was the territory full of darkness where our imaginary hero loses his ego after falling in love with a black witch. Now, for the second phase, angels are coming to wake up his soul and help him to escape the void. This is the moment in which dark and light forces are fighting for the soul of our hero. Expect a heavy yet euphoric dance trip from the darkness to the light thru the mind, body and soul.

The track we decided to premiere, the remix made by "El Loco" Kitschy Kitsch, is so energetic that made us imagine a very tense moment in the plot: A stormy battle between good and evil, full of turnarounds and casualties on both fronts. A suitable soundtrack for such a crucial moment in the story. Acid and obscure as hell, Mr. Kitsch’s version will make your imagination flow.

Controlla – a platform from Mexico on which both national and international artists, primarily musicians and audio-visual performers, present their craft. Controlla has hosted performances and media from such artists as Ali X x Ximena (Turbo/Azari & III), Fausto (Nein/Roam) Concret (Toy Tonics/Tropico) ,Palomo (Hi Land), Tkuz (La Dame Noir), Kitschy Kitsch (Maleante Recs), among others.

For their recent release, they have invited @TiempoDeMaldad who already has presented his craft in renowned labels such as Nein records to name a few. We are happy to premiere the lead track of this EP "Abusadora" where he has bought his signature dark disco synthpop vibe and Inclan's (@inclanfunk) remix gives the shadow of a bassline driving the track to another dimension.

Factor City is proud to introduce their new signing, Córdoba (Spain) based Durand, and present his new EP, “Exuvia”. Three original tracks followed by a Cabizbajo remix.

Durand has been connected to electronic music from a very young age, developing an extensive career as a dj and club promoter and owner before starting to produce his own music only a couple of years ago. In this time he has already released two excellent eps on Nein records and one on Esthetique, played by the likes of The Hacker, Ivan Smagghe or Curses.

For his debut on Factor City he delivers three slices of cosmic dark disco, with powerful modulating basslines, sleazy synth lines and infectious rythms and percussion. Timeless club music with different influences fused to dance and feel the trip at the same time.
On remix duties we find Cabizbajo. The mexican producer is in full shape as he shows in his fiery take on “Crisálida”. An stripped down, hypnotic and percutive “PseudoDub” version ready to kill any virus.
