The Chilean producer Julian Garcia-Reyes under his project JGR, comes back to ODD Pleasures after releasing ‘Silk Android’ in the second https://soundcloud.com/odd-pleasures V.A Compilation last year. 

This time the producer and influential DJ of the Spanish Indie-Dance scene delivers two powerful tracks driven by bouncy bass lines combined with ’80s-influenced spicy beats. His signature acid synths, full of psychedelia blended with dark melodies and immersive atmospheres, are the main ingredients of this journey to outer space.

The two originals are complemented by two remixes by Radial Gaze and Balam. These bring the originals to a new dimension, imprinting their vision and unique re-interpretation to round up this heavy package.

Radial Gaze’s reinvention of “Rocket Trip” imparts his twisted hypnotic flavours to the original, delivering a mind-drilling experience. At the same time, Balam takes “Acid Trama” to an electrifying trance of Latin percussion, wild synths and ghostly vocals.

Hamburg trio RSS Disco is set to release 'Lunar Fling' on their very own label Mireia Records. Besides the orginal track it's Northern Germany-rooted producer Aera who adds his flavor to the orginal take and delivers some bitter sweet arpeggio-driven piece of music that's the blazing star and invites the listeners to an interstellar ride. Aera's remix for 'Lunar Fling' is Disco, is House, is melo-dramatic-magic in perfection – hypnotically squeaking synths mesmerize the listener from the start as an intergalactic chant in combination with slightly creaking chords push the vigilant club-goer to dance floor limits and heft Aera into orbit – musically, literally.

EXCLUSIVE: RSS Disco - Lunar Fling (Aera Remix) [Mireia Records]

This September, @My-Favorite-Robot-Records welcomes Mexican artist @leonoroficial for a debut release that shows off his evocative synth sounds while the label bosses and Bawrut also remix.

Leonor has often found his tracks at the top of the Beatport and Juno charts, they range from slow motion, dark disco to Balearic beats and have taken him all round Europe as a DJ. Now off the back of support from the likes of Dixon and Maceo Plex, he is back with more of his superb original music. The ‘Xantolo EP’ is a record inspired by the culture of Mexico’s Fariseos, the colourfully dressed and masked religious figures that made their mark on the young Leonor.
The opener is ‘Xantolo’, a deep rooted groove that lifts you off your feet with its rising synth energy. It feels epic and poignant without ever being showy, as distant guitar riffs and tumbling congas build a serene vibe. Label heads My Favorite Robot then up the ante and layer in some pressurised synth loops and more driving hits to make for a futuristic bit of cosmic techno.

Leonor’s excellent ‘El Chapulin’ is a real astral adventure, with sci-fi pads flying by the window as you surf on a future-retro groove. Subtle acid sounds and spoken words drift into earshot to add even more evocative and essential detail. Remixer Bawrut makes music that draws on the rich heritage of Chicago and European house but comes embellished with all sorts of wonderful additions that come to him during digging sessions and DJ sets around the world. The Silencio boss skillfully flips ‘El Chapulin’ into a broken beat jam with pixel-thin synth lines and warm, surging bass.

This EP is a perfect fusion of synth, disco and techno into something new and fresh.
