Release Info: 
The 76th release on Sound Avenue finds the label revisiting Madloch's 'Fiction' for a brand new set of remixes. Originally released in August of last year it showcased the beginning of a new sound for the Belgian artist. A fresher approach yielded great results with the EP getting well into Beatport's Top 50 and earning support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now as 2017 begins to take shape Sound Avenue invites Martin Roth and Simos Tagias to reinvent the track for the new year.

Since breaking through in 2009 It's been a storied career for German artist Martin Roth. The Frankfurt born, Berlin based producer quickly became a mainstay of the AnjunaDeep roster, where he has delivered several EPs and remixes since his first appearance in 2010. Now making his much anticipated Sound Avenue debut Martin delivers a cutting edge interpretation of 'Fiction'. Drawing on influences from both progressive and deep house the Berlin based artist reshapes the track into a deep, meditative groover. Icy pads, devilish hypnotics and an underlying melancholia make for a moody first act. It's unique ebb and flow leads to a dramatic break, ignited by growling bass stabs before a smooth drop brings more dance floor magic.

The second and final interpretation of 'Fiction' is provided by Simos Tagias who is also making his Sound Avenue debut. The Greek artist has appeared on label affiliate 3rd Avenue on two occasions and also owns releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Cid Inc's Replug Records. His groovy sound has been a staple of Beatport's progressive house chart in recent years and he's turned in an incredible interpretation of 'Fiction' to close the release out. With a techno state of mind Simos brings a tougher vibe with mystical effects, waves of claps and a fiery rhythmic core. Anchored by a rolling groove the energy flows with a mesmerizing cadence, before a timely break shifts the tension up. Masterfully crafted, the centrepiece builds anticipation before a smooth energy bridge carries the piece to an exhilarating third act finale. Not only a brilliant remix but a perfect complement to Martin's heady interpretation, rounding out another can't miss release from Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint. Highly Recommended.

As we check off another year for Steyoyoke Recordings, we would like to thank you for joining us on this wonderful journey and appreciate your continued support. To mark our 6th Anniversary, we invited some of the best producers to create remixes of our favourite Steyoyoke tracks of 2017. The release will feature remixes from Hernan Cattaneo, Audio Junkies, Martin Roth, Simon Doty, Nairo and Township Rebellion. The anniversary vinyl will be showcased and sold at our 6th Anniversary Party at Ritter Butzke in Berlin.

Opening the release is Hernan Cattaneo and Audio Junkies’ take on BLANCAh’s “Talus”. The result is pure energy with playful rhythm, soothed by melodic synths. Reinventing Soul Button’s “Paramour” is Martin Roth, who certainly adds a bit of forthright edge and deeper undertones to the original mix. Next up is Simon Doty and Nairo’s version of Nick Devon’s “Overflow”, which unleashes vivid elements scattered across heavy bass lines. The fourth and last track in this release is Clawz SG and Nick Devon’s “Syndicate” remixed by Township Rebellion. Saturated with explosive attitude, this remix surely won’t let one stand still!

'Nebular' opens the cake with a clear analog sound. This amazing composition is built by several layers of hardware synths with strong organic percussions that in occasions are treated as effects. Progressive House hero Hernan Cattaneo and Telaviv genius Audio Junkies meet for a huge re-interpretation using the powerful synth that will blow your mind. For 'FM', the production team presents their fresher and more modern face into a fantastic groove. The breakdown is full of tension and people get crazy when it reaches madness at its peak point. Closing the pack we have 'Keep Working' an electronic music slice that shows the perfect balance: it can be used for a closing, but also for a decisive point of the night. The vocal is saying to you: You have to keep the fight.

Portuguese house master To Ricciardi delivers this Fall's part 2 of the acclaimed 'Naked'. This time nothing but the stellar duo Frankey and Sandrino plus Lisbon's Discotexas co-founder Xinobi on remix duties.

To Ricciardi is one of the pioneers of the electronic movement in Lisbon in the 90s. Releasing under Tribal America and Kaos, he founded his Lisbon studio, Som de Lisboa, in 1991 and in 1999 he launched his first labels, Nylon Discographics and Lupeca. He also has productions on labels like Loopless, Spaceboys, Type, Shelter Ave, Cyz, Shrimp and Vadú and collaborations with Swag-Afro-mystics-Quantic and HowieB.

Award-winning music producer and live performer Rodriguez Jr. also known as Olivier Mateu returns to his spiritual home here at mobilee, following up from the acclaimed album “Blisss” with a brand new EP that delivers a transcendental state with such an emotion that we can honestly say is unique to this very special artist.

We are proud to present “Hydra EP”. The lead track “Hydra” immediately transports into Rodriguez Jr.’s alternate universe of swelling synths and distinctive melodies that stay in your psyche for a very long time. As with most of Olivier’s tracks, it can be enjoyed as much inside headphones for a needed escape, as in a club, or at sunrise on a Brittany mountain, where he showcased the track for the first time in his recent live stream with BOLDR. The key changes and evolving soundscape delight within any space and at every level, in a sound that is pure Rodriguez Jr., which will delight long-time fans and new alike.

Finishing the EP, “Pegasus” sets its signature with a piano trill, thrilling fans who well know Rodriguez Jr’s relationship with this instrument. Crafted in his Paris studio, rhythmic synthesisers, ethereal pads and a tender bassline join the soundscape to create the setting for a tantalising melody to take the heart strings of the listener on a special journey which is, at 7 minutes, entirely too short.
