Metalheadz kicks off a very exciting 2014 with a new team of producers for the label. 

Firstly introducing Mako and DLR who are already starting work on their forthcoming combined Metalheadz album project, alongside we have the fledgling talents of Villem and the elder statesmen of the scene Ant TC1 who in his own right has had a hand in a fair share of memorable releases and himself heads up Dispatch Recordings and Metalheadz.

META015 is project that shows a great depth in the talents of the foursome, it’s a beauty and the beast affair, fantastically executed in the great tradition of Metalheadz.
Kicking off with ‘Hungry For Atmosphere’ this stepper is a perfect set opener, heartfelt strings and keys give way to contorted mids and FXs, whilst the familiar vocal is processed into something altogether more sinister. The track clocks at just over 7 minutes and this says everything of the tracks ambitions, not pandering to anything but its own journey.
Next to step into the ring is ‘A Certain Flavour’ the opposite but yet perfectly paired track to go with the A side. Beginning with a very cinematic introduction it unravels into a growling bass led stepper with staccato drums before switching into a two-step drum work out, tailor made for dancefloors and DJs alike.

A release that we are very happy to kick 2014 off with, welcome to the new breed!

Originally from Devon, Lilithyx has long been influenced by the South West sound, finding a passion for drum & bass through the likes of Dispatch Recordings, Critical Music , Sofa Sounds and 1985 Music.

Lilithyx has refined her sound to reflect the city’s heavy minimal scene. Playing out at events such as Shotgun Sessions and Balance Bristol and carries out her monthly Goat Shed Music Residency with her friend Vispera @forbidden_fm.

Mentored by @holliemay_iam, Lilithyx is currently exploring technical skills and mental health within the music industry aswell as embarking on a journey of music production.

The SINE Podcast is back for 2021 with a newly polished sound and rejigged format, yet the same goal in mind. Each month, we aim to bring you a selection of our favourite new and forthcoming tunes from across the drum and bass spectrum - mixed by none other than label boss Apey. SINE Podcast S2.EP2 (ft. Shadows)

Since 2015, SINE have been establishing themselves across London as a purveyor of quality drum and bass nights, putting on parties at venues such as Fabric, E1, Fire & Lightbox and many more. Teaming up with the likes of Dispatch Recordings, 31 Recordings and ProgRAM, the nights became a go-to for underground drum and bass rinse-outs in the capital, with a close-knit family feel and focus on vibes over everything else.

Over the last year, SINE have been on a journey, expanding the public’s perception of what they can offer to the scene. The beginning of 2020 saw the official launch of SINE Audio, the label arm to the SINE moniker, aiming to transfer the same quality-over-quantity ethos over from their club nights to the label’s output. 

Their sound shifts between the deeper, club-ready end of the spectrum, more experimental efforts, and smooth liquid vibes. SINE have been steadily building their arsenal for when clubs return to the fold, and are ready to fuse their original events expertise with the new label.
