For this month's Unrush mix, we're excited to feature Eric Cloutier - a true digger with a deep history in the scene and an ear for detail. His 90-minute guest mix flows through warm, textured ambient with darker, rhythmic turns: subtle, patient, and always engaging.

Cloutier’s path has taken him from Detroit to New York, where his years as a regular at The Bunker New York helped shape his distinct style: deep, body-oriented music with a strong sense of narrative. Now based in Berlin and a resident at Tresor, he continues to bring that same focus and depth to clubs and listeners around the world.

With a straightforward, no-nonsense approach, he has spent years honing his craft. His label Palinoia - named after the act of repeating something until it’s mastered - reflects that mindset: a home for stripped-back, dubby techno and lesser-known talent that fits seamlessly into his sets.

A true digger with an ear for detail — this mix is one to sit with...

This re-edit was born from the desire to revisit a powerful and iconic track, while giving it a new sonic dimension. I decided to slightly increase the tempo to add more drive and energy on the dancefloor, while carefully preserving the soul and unique identity of the original.

The idea was to amplify the electronic and hypnotic atmosphere by layering textured pads and evolving soundscapes that grow throughout the track. These elements bring depth and contrast, playing with tension and release, light and darkness. My goal was to create an immersive journey, where every detail enriches the overall experience.

The result is a version that feels more dynamic and profound — designed both for deep listening and for peak moments on a club system. It’s a personal interpretation of Tankwa Town that pays tribute to the original while exploring new electronic nuances.

Been blogging, music sharing, etc. for a while now (see blog under this name) & DJing since 1982. I like all kinds of music.

Most of my playlists are not organized & just hold songs I'm interested in, many of which I haven't listened to yet. The "freeform current listening" playlist is as it says & will be updated regularly. Born in Antwerp, Belgium, Del Bosque's passion for music ignited at an early age. His exposure to a variety of ethnic sounds—from the vibrant rhythms of African drums to the haunting melodies of Middle Eastern instruments—shaped his unique auditory perspective. This eclectic background laid the foundation for his future explorations and experiments in sound.

In 2017, Del Bosque founded Tribu Oro In Malaga, a collective that quickly gained acclaim for its genre-blending compositions and immersive live shows. The group released several eps and albums. Their work seamlessly integrates organic instruments and vocals with synthetic textures, creating rich, multilayered soundscapes that invite listeners on a sonic journey.

Now, Philippe Del Bosque is embarking on a new chapter in his career with the release of his highly anticipated solo EP. This project marks a significant evolution in his artistry, showcasing his growth as a solo artist while retaining the innovative spirit that defines his work. The EP promises to deliver a fresh and introspective sound, heavily influenced by the ethnic music traditions that have always inspired him.
