Jeanie Tracy came up in the Bay Area gospel scene but was quickly picked up by Harvey Fuqua for his Fantasy Records subsidiary, Honey Records. She was partnered with San Francisco disco icon, Sylvester, for this slice of mid-tempo boogie from 1981. Although she sang back up and toured with Sylvester, she never quite had the commercial success his other back up singers, Martha Wash and Izora Armstead, did as Two Tons of Fun (later, The Weather Girls).

This edit takes the R&B flavored original and launches it into deep space. The cheesier sax passages are sliced out only to be introduced as an overdub, heavily filtered and delayed. An extra kick was added from a Roland CR-78 to punch up the mid-range. This cut was a bit of a departure from Sylvester's high energy output and definitely brings the funk!
