For more than 15 years, @jamesbeethammusic has been pursuing a unique blend of progressive house, breaks and techno as a DJ, producer/engineer, radio host, and label-owner.

James' presence in the progressive electronic music scene is felt far & wide - whether it be through his monthly radio show Friction on the internationally renowned Proton Radio, or through his globally recognised progressive house label Late Night Music.
With a lifelong love of progressive electronic music underpinning everything he does, James’ ability to connect with an audience has seen him perform to dancefloors across Australia, championing his sound and skills at iconic festivals, clubs, and warehouse parties.

James’ studio original productions and remixes have received widespread support from industry giants such as Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Jamie Stevens, Subandrio, Kasey Taylor, Nicholas Rada, Praveen Archary, Sonic Union, Maceo Plex and more - while artists such as Dmitry Molosh, Golan Zocher, Robert Babicz, Ewan Rill, and Loco & Jam have remixed his work.

His ear for sound sees James working professionally as an engineer at his own 4Sound studio - while also working out one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most well-regarded audio workshops - JTB Deluxe Mastering Facility - helping artists to perfect their mix and achieve their musical vision in the studio.

In 2022, James released his second EP ‘Silicon’ on Late Night Music, with the remixes reaching industry spotlight being played by Guy Mantzur during a b2b set with Guy J at Loveland Amsterdam Festival, plus a radio play on Hernan Cattaneo’s Resident Episode #597 - While in 2021 his collaboration ‘Zenticle’ with fellow Melbourne artist Liam Sieker saw huge support from industry and music fans around the world.

Jerpa (Jernej Pavlič) is DJ and co-founder of Sinergia community and Flows Festival is a prominent presence in Slovenia’s electronic music scene.

His journey has taken him to the stages of festivals like Balance Croatia, Endorphin, Flows, and Castle Festival, as well as events by Eclypse, Butik, Soundhitectures, Magnetik Music, and more. He’s also performed in the region’s top clubs, from Ljubljana’s K4 and Cvetličarna to Zagreb’s Boogaloo - sharing stages with artists such as Marsh, Roy Rosenfeld, Chris Luno and others.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, and labels such as Lost & Found, Soundgarden, and Sudbeat, Jerpa’s sets are known for their storytelling nature — guiding listeners through an emotional journey with driving progressive and melodic house, underground sensibilities, and unapologetic vocals.

As a co-founder of Sinergia and Flows Festival, he’s deeply involved in building a community around melodic and progressive electronic music in Slovenia. He also runs the @sinergia-flows podcast, featuring artists from across the globe.

I've been listening to electronic music since I was old enough to tune into the John Peel show on Radio 1. Peel first introduced me to Chicago House, Detroit Electro and Rap. I would listen to an entire show with my finger hovering over the record button of my 'tape-recorder' close to the radio speaker just to record whatever 3 electronic imports he would play each night. I wish I'd kept those recordings.
From the moment I first heard 'Roxanne Shante' I sought out everything I could ranging from Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Kurtis Mantronik, Africa Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, Gorgio Morodor, Axel-F, Jean Michel Jarre and just about anyone who used a synth to make music! With the arrival of House in the mid-late 80's the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, Adonis and many more American underground House producers, the music had developed into a new, seriously exciting phenomena.
Music progressed at pace with House and Acid imports driving change, the UK in particular underwent an epiphany of sorts in the 80's and 90's. From Break-Dancing to New Romanticism, the music developed, finally morphing into the early genres of Acid Trance, Techno and Progressive Trance. Heavily influenced by American and underground Dutch and German artists and with the advent of clubbing and non-speaking mixing DJ's, it opened up a Pandora's box of new music, influences, sounds and styles. What that amounted to for me (and most others like me) was an ever-growing range of electronic music that was continually breaking free from pigeon-holes and mainstream pop culture. Electronic music had become the new classical music of a generation.
I can only say that electronic or computer music has evolved beautifully in the past 40 years and I love it as much now as the day I first heard John Peel play fantastic American imports.
I'm not anything more than a bedroom DJ and electronic music enthusiast. I have the greatest admiration for those who DJ publicly and seek to build a following or career from DJing, but that’s not a path I’ve tried to follow. I do love to put together great tunes, so for me using this sort of platform for sharing music is perfect for me. I do mixes both on my decks and using Ableton, as sometimes I find it easier to create a journey through that medium. 
As for making music, I’m slowly finding my way around Ableton in order to bring life to the musical ideas rolling around my head. 
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the mixes I post, please give me some feedback and if nothing else, support the artists themselves and buy their music.

With his deep knowledge of music and dancefloor programming, James has graced festival stages and nightclub booths across the country, including Subsonic, Elements, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Burning Seed, and Electric Gardens. He’s played support shows for artists such as Robert Babicz, Sebastian Leger, Dubfire, Henry Saiz, Nick Curly and more.

James has more than a decade of continuous radio experience including a weekly headline show on Melbourne’s iconic Kiss FM. He now presents the monthly Friction on Proton Radio to an international audience of dancefloor devotees.

Allegedly spawned after a night of hedonism between Salvador Dali, H.R. Giger, Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream went horribly wrong, the early influences for Davros comprised a volatile melting pot of SID chip composers, 70s and 80s science fiction and horror, and hip hop.
