What better way to start our own music podcast than with one of our co-founders @jerpamusic.

JJerpa is coming from Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Co-founder of Sinergia has been controlling the vibe on events like Eclypse, Butik, Soundhitectures, Magnetik Music and other shows as well as local festivals like the Castle Festival on Kolpa or Ljubljana’s finest electronic music club, K4.
His sound is defined by hand-picked driving melodic techno tracks and non-apologetic vocals inspired by artists like Khen, Colyn, Hernan Cattaneo, Yotto and labels like Vivrant, After Life & Sudbeat.

His uplifting mixing style is bringing the vocals to melodic techno and underground sensibilities. Known to be more comfortable in playing longer sets, his style can be described as storytelling, as he is taking us on a voyage of feelings.

As the co-founder of Sinergia, the electronic music events in Slovenia and a community for holistic development, he is also running @sinergia-flows, the melodic house & techno podcast.

I'm happy with all the shows that we've done, proud of the kind and close family Distant has brought together and excited for all the new things that are coming. Even after all these years of making music, I still find it extremely hard to start with something new. It's always a bit scary, you start overthinking it and instead, you start distracting yourself with other things. Eventually doubt starts creeping in, "can I even do it anymore" and it just gets more difficult. But, once you put everything aside, no preconceived ideas or plans and get yourself to actually begin, it just starts flowing effortlessly and it's like its the most easiest thing in the world. Crazy how thinking about some stuff just makes it more complicated, but when you just start or follow your gut feeling, it all just start happening naturally. Geboren in Thüringen, die Elektroszene lernte er in Frankfurt/Main schätzen und lieben. Auf kleineren Partys mit Cliquen hat er öfters die Scheibe gedreht. Tracks an die 15000 füllen seine Platte. Mit Rialex übernahm er 2015 mehrere Podcastskanäle und gründete Herz & Klang, aus World Tour Diary wurde Herz & Klang Friends. DJ´s aus der ganzen Welt waren Gast bei deren Podcasts. Als sie zusammen Serenity Heartbeat übernahmen wurden viele neue DJ´s für die Podcasts auf die beiden aufmerksam. Es folgten coole kleinere Events/Afterhours und Afterworks... 2020 war ein kleiner Break und er brach Privat die Zelte in Frankfurt ab und zog nach Köln. Er lernte Soyos (damals PingPong) über das Netz kennen und entschloss sich dazu mit Serenity Heartbeat neu anzufangen.

Musik ist für ihn Leidenschaft, ein ausgleich zum Alltag.. Seine Tracks spiegeln die Gegensätze zum dem Leben was man sonst nie schätzt das Leben das besonders ist. Musik verbindet und auch wenn es nur 60min sind, die Reise werdet ihr spüren. reisst mit ihn und spürt die 118BPM unter eurer Haut.

We had the honour of touring Roger Martinez in January for a private event and public club show. This is the recording of his public set from a Rooftop in the Melbourne CBD.

Trance inducing DJ-sets, chart topping dance music productions, sound healing meditations, interdisciplinary art-projects and psychedelically infused workshops. Bridging these apparent worlds apart, they all converge in sound artist Roger Martinez.

Roger views a club night or festival as a shamanic ceremony where people gather and have profound experiences through music and dance. During his performances he surrenders himself to creative flow, communicating a unifying experience through the music.

Drawing inspiration from anything between shamanic ceremonies, mountain treks and pop music, his DJ-sets tend to be pan-spectral, transcending genre and style.

A stylistically nomadic producer, his music has found its way onto labels like Lost & Found, Armadillo, Sudbeat, Plattenbank, GEM Records, Tronic.
