Founded in 2019, The Dollhouse is a cabaret synthetique / synthpop duo, consisting of classically trained musicians Catherine Camarotte and Warren Whaley.  Catherine, The Doll of The Dollhouse, is a songwriting soprano with a five-octave range, who brings her soul, funk, folk, pop, and choral roots to The Dollhouse.  Warren, The Master of The Dollhouse, is a songwriter, composer, and synthesist, who brings his synthpop, new wave, disco, classical, and film scoring experience.  The Dollhouse, furnished with a massive collection of electronic instruments, dating from the early-70s to present, offers the sounds of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Bristol based Sinestar make their debut onto the worldwide music scene with the release of EP “I  am the rain” on 31st December 2011.

The band take their influences from many different genres and styles from the past five decades to create a sound which is uniquely and unmistakably their own. 

Sinestar fuse 80’s style synth led sounds with the soaring vocals and harmonies of modern day Muse.  Throw in a bucket load of dance inspired  grooves  for good measure and you start to form a picture of where the band are coming from. 

Formed out of the ashes of Bristol Band Jagged (RebCo Records), Sinestar already had a real solid foundation on which to build their sound.

Sinestar will be gigging their debut EP tracks “I am the rain”, “Hurricane”, and “Lived For” at various venues throughout the UK throughout 2012. 

Sinestar’s debut Album is due for release in the summer of 2012 and  the band is exceptionally excited to set their new child onto the world.
