In three years, Greta Van Fleet went from touring the grimy rock bars of Detroit and Saginaw to headlining shows on five continents with audiences triple their hometown’s population. The band that once attracted crowds of teens to improvised forest concerts, have now sold over one million tickets worldwide. Stadiums in Italy are a far cry from a field strewn with pick-up trucks, framed by the canopy of tall coniferous trees, where they learned to love an audience. Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater is a world away from the tiny Midwestern bars where they got their start (before they were even of legal drinking age). From Frankenmuth to a tour bus across America, then their first ever flight to Europe, their newest album The Battle at Garden’s Gate is a reflection of their journey into the present. 

Produced by Greg Kurstin and due April 16, 2021, The Battle at Garden’s Gate has an elegance unlike the band’s previous work. So many have been positioned as the future, we’ve forgotten how to recognize the real thing. Expectations may run high, but Greta Van Fleet is indifferent to opinion. The band doesn’t have to say a certain thing or act a certain way to convince anyone of their capacity. All they have to do is play.

Since moving to Nashville to start their music career in 2012, Becca Mancari has been lauded for their dextrous songwriting and prodigious guitar playing. Their sophomore album ‘The Greatest Part’, released in 2020, was an indie rock opus that garnered acclaim from The New York Times, NPR, and more. While their new album ‘Left Hand’ came out of a dark period in Mancari’s life, the album is anything but. Wide-open and welcoming, the music beckons all listeners, encouraging community among strangers. On the album, Mancari  asserts a radical self-acceptance.

Old school with a modern twist, The Inoculated Canaries are a fusion of Deep Purple and The Foo Fighters.  Eclectic, boundary defying, and never lacking in sarcastic remarks, The Inoculated Canaries (in.oc.u.lat.ed  ca.nar.ies)are a rock and roll force to be reckoned with. Hailing from New York, the “four guys who can’t dance” are striving to leave their musical legacy; inspired by artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and Nirvana, The Inoculated Canaries are constantly pushing themselves to explore new, innovative sounds while making their presence known. 

The unforgettable quartet is composed of Michael Rubin (guitar, vocals), James Terranova (drums), Dylan Gross (bass), and Brian Sweeney (keyboard). Coming from diverse backgrounds and varied musical influences, the band values creativity above all else; striving to combine familiar elements with the unexpected, The Inoculated Canaries attempt to make sense of individualism and humanity in the most honest way possible: 

“We want to take those raw human emotions we all feel in the darkness of our minds and write songs about them. We’re not here to be rich or famous, we’re here to be great. To us, Greatness means making music that is real, and we are absolutely relentless about every single note. Greatness means learning from the best, but always being original.  Greatness is sometimes having to stick up your middle finger to authority, convention and even the person in the mirror... Side-Effects may include crying, laughing, a sudden sense of existential dread, and/or hearing-loss.” 

The rockers are immensely passionate about the music they share and the experience they create for fans. The band had the opportunity to open for The Mowglis in 2017 , COIN in 2019 and played ‘Cult of Personality’ live with Will Calhoun and Doug Wimbish of Living Colour.   

The Inoculated Canaries also worked directly with Matt Squire (producer of Panic! at the Disco, Ariana Grande, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Demi Lovato and more). Focusing on melody and arrangement, Squire helped the band to develop their sound and allowed them to pour their souls into the tracks, "Hypocrite" "Sneakers" and "The Lawyer's Wife". 

The Inoculated Canaries' first EP "The Blue Laws" was soon followed by their single "Don't Be Late", a live prog performance "The Fifth Song" and an acoustic version of their song "Jericho".  Their second EP "Trying Times" was also followed by singles "Count Me Out", "Who Are You", "The Lawyer's Wife", "Sneakers" and "Donna".
