With a notable bent for sculpted noise and homogenous blends, @JoroDudovski is at the forefront of an emergent fusion of precision engineering and freeform arrangements, taking advantage of compositional risks every step of the way. In anticipation of the Sanctuary Collective release of his upcoming Color Oscillations EP, the Rust is incredibly excited to host the exclusive premiere of “STRANGERS”.

Folding white noise layers across swelling chords and choked-off sound design, “STRANGERS” breathes through the juxtaposition of ambience and impact. The material palette gradually shifts from granulated and pixelated to unified and organic; the opening lines shift like a vortex of sonic artifacts, while the track’s resolution meanders along a dissipating grand piano flourish, marrying the otherwise disparate ends of the track’s overall scheme. As with all Joro Dudovski productions, “STRANGERS” feels far more like a transient journey than a single song, and it’s just the first taste of the inner workings of Color Oscillations.

a couple of weeks ago i decided to "remix" a tune from the 2000s that i liked a lot. at first, the main bassline seems to be the core of the track, but it quickly evolves into something bigger, surrounded by ideas which stemmed from the original track without having any direct connections to it. because this meant restructuring the entire track, i felt like the term "vision" was more appropriate than "remix", since it encapsulates my vision of what this song would sound like if it was produced today, as well as my visions of how i would musically interpret the song title "uptight".
