Being completely sober, I no longer have a dulled mind.  It's constantly running which can be both good and bad.  I am learning to channel this energy and these thoughts into creative fuel.  Squonker is just another one of my weird, made up words, stemming from the strange whirlwind of thoughts and ideas that are now free to roam throughout my brain.  Drugs and alcohol really did kill my ability to be weird.  I know it sounds counterintuitive, but sobriety has brought about a different kind of "weird".  It's the kind in which I allow myself to just be me.  Not the isolated, strung out kind of "weird" I had experienced in the depths of my addiction.  I have endless amounts of gratitude for music and those who have shared their passion for music with me over the years. 🩷
