I grew up on the west coast of Florida largely surrounded by central Florida breaks, something that never took. Instead, I followed all things funky, techy, and deep. 

I started DJ'ing in college at the height of the rave scene and have continued since. Early influences included everything from Deee-lite, Dj Dan, Keoki, Terry Mullan, Philippe Zdar & Boom Bass, to Joe Claussell, Cheb I Sabbah, & Gilles Peterson. The name Singh was adopted from my early childhood in a Sikh community. It is a surname widely used by Indian males. Its wide scale use began as a form of class protest by Sikhs against last names that denoted class background in Indian society. Formerly reserved for only kings, Singh became a name of the people. 

The music I play attempts to share a wider perspective, stretching beyond the most recent, so-called hottest tracks and trends, and outside the monoculture many box themselves into, while still sitting comfortably within a voice all its own.
