Melbourne’s The Murlocs are back with their unique garage-blues sound with new single, ‘Rattle The Chain.’ It’s the first single taken from their forthcoming debut album, due late 2013. In the last 6 months they've played Meredith, Harvest and Dig It Up festivals and supported Steve Malkmus + the Jicks, Earthless, Gary Clarke Jr and Thee Oh Sees.
 
Recorded with Paul Maybury at the Christmas street warehouse in Fairfield with Vocals and Overdubs recorded in bedrooms, the song is a realisation of tropical third world poverty blues. Rattle the chain to scare away the birds and protect the crops.
