Larse's hit 'A Part Of' made waves in 2022 following its exclusive vinyl release, and the track received significant play throughout the summer. Now Riva takes the bold orchestral features of the original and flings them around the stratosphere, warping them playfully to create an otherworldly, retro sound before a thick bass smashes us back down to earth. With a bright, recognisable vocal and a deep house feel, this stellar remix marks another impeccable release for Riva Starr.

“Everybody knows the vocal sample from the St.Germain record ‘Rose Rouge’, but a lot of people 
don’t know the original track is by Marlene Shaw, from a live performance she did back in the days. 
It’s been sampled by a lot of other people like Bob Sinclar, Grandmaster Flash and the famous 90s hit 
from Blue Boy. We have a lot of memories with this vocal because we were growing up in the 90s. 
That’s why we decided to do our take on this one. The first time we played it on a big festival we 
were shocked how well it works… That’s why we decided to release it officially, along with a second 
version that’s more stripped-down and based only on the conga and djembe rhythms.”
