Icepops for Breakfast are an indiepop five piece from Lancaster, Lancashire. They write catchy, melodic indie pop songs about kissing, making mix tapes, Stuart Maconie and a popular brand of cigarette rolling papers. Some songs are longer than others, but say everything they need to without waffling on.

Fronted by Benni Beard and Stephie Harris, with Clem Clemson on drums, SilentMark on bass and Ryan Matthews on other guitar, Icepops for Breakfast is all about fun times and fun songs.

Formed in late 2010, the band’s first gig was a local Battle of the Bands in which they came second, missing out on the top spot by one point. Since then, they’ve played a shed load of gigs supporting the likes of Art Brut, Misty’s Big Adventure, Abdoujaparov, Jim Bob, The Indelicates, The Lovely Eggs, Pete Bentham and the Dinnerladies and The Heartbreaks.

In January 2012 they released their debut EP, Iced Pop Vol. 1, on the Corporate Records label which has been played on BBC Radio Lancashire.  

Iced Pop Vol. 2 was released in May 2014 to positive reviews.

Icepops for Breakfast have become known for their instantly catchy brand of indie pop and their love of Stuart Maconie.
