Didn’t expect me so soon, did you? AND with a feature?! Haha.. I’m really gonna hold to dishin’ these songs out at a faster rate- FOREAL. Maybe if I obligate myself to doing that, I’ll actually be more efficient with the workflow..? Only one way to find out, I guess. Here goes nothin’.

First off, this song features one of the more humble artists- if not, the MOST humble.. Sefa M. There are many attributes that come with different artists, but Sef’ is unique in more than a few ways. He’s in his own lane when it comes to sound, his rhymes are as witty/strong as any other in the game, and not only can you hear the love for music through his work, but he absolutely respects the art. For many, music is an opportunity to be noticed, a claim to being special/gifted, used for the gain of higher status.. even vanity- which, I shouldn’t hide, I’m just as attracted to shiny objects as the next guy. However, in working with Sef’, I’m convinced that he falls in the rare category of being in the game, but not of the game. Because of that, I cannot help but tip my hat off to dude. Sef’ truly is inspiring. So, I’m in total gratitude to the bro for helping me so much with this record- I mean, listen to his verse! When I first heard it, I was blown away from how much it hit home. How is he so wise, yet younger than I? Only Yah can answer such questions haha..

Now, about the record. “Done” is a mellow vibe song that’s more for those who’re in weathered relationships. I won’t claim it’s something you’ve NEVER heard before, because you have. Only this time with my own (and Sefa’s) spin on it. Anyone who has ever been in a worthwhile relationship should be able to relate. If not, you probably haven’t made a mistake in your life, in regards to relationships haha.. Anyway, when I wrote the record, I had been home a week after a trip to Hawa’ii. Inspiration for songs come at random, but in this case, I couldn’t tell you exactly what it was that brought this about. Hawa’ii was so good to me, I came home on a super “Hi” note (pun intended). So yeauh, I don’t know haha.. But aye- Ain’t no place like Utah, but I can’t say I don’t miss Hi’s food & people.. my gawsh.

Last, but not least, I’m launching a new Patreon campaign, through which YOU can become a ‘Patron’. TRUTH, I’ve been able to get as far as I have because of the overwhelming support YOU’ve all shown over the years, no doubt- and amazingly enough, I’ve been able to reach this point without much financial backing.
