¡Hola, como estas! haha I know, I know- it's definitely been some time since my last release, but this should let you know I haven't forgotten about YOU, and that I appreciate your patience. FOREAL.

I typically do NOT unofficially remix another artists' work (let alone remix another remix) unless I'm feelin' it THAT much- but in this case, the vibe was right and I really enjoyed Eric Bellinger's rendition, as well as the original record by Kent Jones. I honestly could not help but put everything else aside to create this. Another BIG reason for the remix (to the remix) is to showcase my ability to hang with a Top 40 songwriter- who is Eric Bellinger, and also a Top 40 artist such as Kent Jones; All while representing where I'm from #UTAH, which is who I dedicate this T-MiX to. All my #UTAHANS.

I'm very proud of where I reside as it is a big part of who I am as an artist. And I don't take pride in that just because I was raised here, but because it's also the most UNLIKELY of places for someone like me, a Hip-Hop/R&B songwriter and first generation #Polynesian-American, to be successful in the music industry. 

Anyway, the last time I did something like this was with Drake's "Girls Love Beyonce", and that record came out nearly 2 years ago! 2016 has been a much slower year for me, but the plan is to turn that around starting with this record. Congratulations! Your being here means that you liked the first track of the Dark Horse Double, and are now engaging in the listening of the second and final record.  So I'm glad you're here. Thank you for that.

This time around, I wanted to try something different. Instead of playin' it safe with just a single, I decided to go with a 2-song release. I have many shelved records, but I've found that releasing singles don't leave much room for any of 'em to be unappreciated or unnoticed. I put countless hours into these 3-4 minute songs, and I feel they're better received and even better understood when released one at a time.

People frequently ask if I'm goin' to release an album anytime soon. TRUTH is I have enough of my own music to make up a FEW albums, but I've grown very fond of my current process. Not only that, it's been doin' quite well for me these recent years- so why fix what ain't broken? Maybe I will release an album, maybe I won't. The luxury of being independent (which I know I'm overbearing with the fact, but frankly I don't give a shit) is that I do what I want, when I want & how I want. I pride myself in that freedom. Everybody wanna sign (their life away) to a label because they don't wanna get the work done themselves. I actually do this, NOT just look like it- that's more than what a lot of fellow "artists" can say. More than likely your favorite one.

The reason I bring these points up is because they play a big roll in what you're hearing. "You Get It All", as well as every one of my other songs that you've heard, are brief insights to who I am and what I experience- and of course they're mingled with bits of imagination & creativity. The good, the bad & the ugly, transparent in all my work. The more hands that may become involved with MY music, the more MY music loses its credence, substance and rawness- and I won't have that.

More onto the song itself, the "You Get It All" concept is based on a one-sided relationship. Mind you, all relationships are one-sided at one point or another (least that's what I believe haha)- there's a lot of give & take, as they say. Throughout the song you'll hear that I'm takin' shots at my woman, but I thought it was only right to twist it up towards the end. Even left an unintentional freestyle in the damn thang haha.

That is all for now, my people. I continue to do what I love because of your support. I'm flawed in many ways, but you definitely got a toko stuck in his own grandeur at times, which is not good for the fire, but feels good regardless. Thank you and BLESSAWP 10FOLD.
