Café Society, a mostly studio band, were one of the most successful white South African acts of the mid-80's. The band, featuring Julia Jade Aston of the defunct Working Girls, is the brainwave of multi-instrumentalist singer and producer Costa Anadiotis, formerly of Fantasy, once one of Johannesburg's foremost club dance rock bands.

The commodification and race to the bottom of everything (especially art and music) has led to a society where good and bad are confused, where we can no longer recognize beauty. Inevitable, unstoppable decline, I think there's nothing we can do about it, but this song was born that way.

One of the most epic disco tracks ever made and the best Patrick Cowley record no one has heard of! Massive stuff, be sure not to miss the 9:00 mark.
This is a very, very rare pressing which is slightly different from, but way better then his Megamix of this track. I'm still looking for this particular original source material to make a proper quality re-edit. For now, I upped it a bit and extended only the intro a bit, making it a bit more dj-friendly. Expect an re-edit of this track in one of my upcoming mixes.
