The dynamic new collection is built around previously unheard tracks created by Illa J’s brother: the late, great J Dilla (James Yancey). With Frank Nitt’s standing as J Dilla Music Catalog Curator and the official approval of Yancey Media Group, all productions on Sunset Blvd originate from The Lost Scrolls — the stunning cache of beats Dilla left behind.

Yancey Boys "Quicksand" (feat. Common And Dezi Paige)

GOGO Music proudly comes up with the second release of Sir LSG, after they presented ‘Sax In The City’, which still was released under LSG's former moniker ‘Hood Natives’ and became a smash-hit in 2011. This time Sir LSG teamed up with renown Soul-singer Brian Temba and Kafele who adds his distinctive trumpet lines. Remixes are contributed by the legendary DJ Spinna, and Ben Moss to complete a splendiferous release.  

This GOGO Music release has been in the works for quite some time, but it surely was worth the wait and efforts, as we now are able to present a well rounded package of a well written song – exactly the aim at GOGO Music.

She's now brought out five studio albums and after a string of major hits, the solo-artist is set to release her sixth, 'Food' via Ninja Tune on April 21.

Towards the end of last she dropped the first track to be taken from the new LP and now 'Jerk Ribs' has been given the remix treatment in 2014.

This was the first collab' i did with a South African artist/ group. I was emailed by a guy called josh from the group Magic soul, asking to do a collab', i'd never heard of them, but decided to give them a chance. I sent them a groove with Andy Barton on Rhodes, Charlie Hearnshaw on sax, Pete Morris on congas, and me doing the rest, it was already named 'Hot In Africa' as Pete's congas gave it that Africa touch, it was also mid summer in the uk, and i sampled the crickets out the back of the house (who sing all the way through!) 
I was pleasantly surprised  when Josh sent the vocals back, it sounded DOPE! their remix was super hot as well!! Turned out the dude responsible for the production side was Pricha, a very talented musician and producer.
This song tuned out to be a hit in South Africa! Check it out!! It was originally released on a Peng single, then on the album 'Ocean' in 2011.

It's Hot in Africa (feat. Magic Soul)

A friend of mine, Sy Sez, contacted me a couple of years suggesting i made some songs with his buddy Sabrina Chyld. I checked out her collab's and loved her voice! So, we touched base and tried to make some plans. It took a long while to get recording session sorted, as she has a very busy life! i had just moved to Bristol as well, which made it easier to get to  (Dawlish by the sea just didn't have the energy i needed anymore! and a move to London wouldn't have worked well for seeing my kids regular, and i'm still a country boy at heart!, so Bristol was the perfect city...with so many talented musicians, which you'll hear in my forthcoming releases :) 
So, we made 2 songs for my solo LP 'Ubuntu' released in feb 2014. The music for this song i made myself, in my girlfriends flat in Paris, on a broken beat tip. We finished it in Bristol with Sabrina writing some lush lyrics and melodys, I think it's a super smooth number!

Poetic Justice (Retrial) (Prod. Felix Joseph & Aston Rudi)

Sir LSG began his career as a DJ in 2006 whilst studying to become an electrical engineer at the University of The Witwaterstrand. It seems the love for music soon took precedence as the young SIr LSG started collecting records. Soon after Co-founding Hood Natives in 2007 with 3 other DJs based in Soweto, Sir LSG enrolled at the Soul Candi Institute of Music to learn more about electronic music production. After completing the short course at Soul Candi, Sir LSG enrolled at the Academy of Sound Engineering to do a two year diploma majoring in Music Production & Audio Post Production. 

It was the 2008 Southern African Music Conference that became a defining juncture in Sir LSG's music path, when he caught the ear of the legendary DJ Christos, whom since became his devoted mentor. Thanks to the relationship with Christos, German producer Ralf GUM came across Sir LSG's song “Sax in the City” in 2011 , which finally found its way to light when released on GOGO Music. With remixes from another German based Producer Raw Artistic Soul, and a fellow South African DJ/Producer Nastee Nev, "Sax In The City" reached the second spot on Traxsource's top singles chart. 

To date, the Mafikeng born Lesego Sefako has had the honour to perform at various venues across South Africa, alongside South African legends such as DJ Christos, Vinny Da Vinci, Tim White, DJ Ganyani, DJ Mbuso and Greg Maloka to name but a few, as well as international acts; Ralf GUM, Rocco, Monique Bingham, and Portia Monique.  On his solo path since breaking away from the group Hood Natives, Sir LSG has since done remixes for UPZ aka Avi Elman, Ralf GUM, Andy Compton, Nathan Adams and MAQman. He has also collaborated with Brian Temba, a legendary South African R&B singer/songwriter and trumpeter Kafele on a song titled All I Am, which enjoyed great air play on South African Radio Stations and became a local dance floor anthem. In 2014 Sir LSG was voted by Traxsource at Number 20 on the Top 100 Afro House Procers of the year.
